you are scammers! I do not recommend! I rented an apartment with dirty walls, carpets from 40 years old, dirt, stench. I cleaned the apartment myself before moving in and out by sending pictures of the neat apartment inside and out you are scammers the apartment was cleaned you stole my £ 311! !!! skip the apartment on 26victiria str. Owner is renovating this ruin for your money! Nobody took a deposit from me, you are scammers! And the landlord wasn't even in this apartment, he added old photos! no bills for supposedly cleaning the apartment, garbage collection, cleaning the oven !!!!! This is now the Fourth review that you have made the decision to post on our review page, and therefore we are reconfirming the situation with the property that you vacated. Your deposit was held with the Deposit Protection Service – a deposit is always taken at the start of the tenancy. If the property is left to a satisfactory standard the deposit is returned via the DPS. In this instance the property was not returned in an acceptable standard and the deposit that you paid was withheld to cover the cost of returning the property to inventory standard. You disagreed with this point and your deposit was moved into a dispute case via the Deposit Protection Service. At this point, the matter was taken out of the agents hands. The dispute between yourself and the landlord was taken through an independent Arbitration Process and the Deposit Protection Service reached an independent decision in favour of the Landlord. We understand that you are unhappy with the outcome however this is the decision made by an Independent adjudicator and not Henderson Connellan. Further to your previous post – the process concerning deposits is outlined below: From 6th April 2007, it was a legal requirement to register a tenant’s deposit with a government backed scheme, that was designed to protect the tenant from unfairly losing their deposit. The most unprofessional group of people I have had the misfortune to deal with. In nearly four months nobody could be bothered to return phone calls for days and sometimes weeks at a time and when I did finally get a response it was just one excuse after another. Not once did I receive any valuable feedback or advice, maybe they are just making too much money ? Who knows. The icing on the cake was when I instructed another agent to take over, ( we had to give Henderson’s 14 days notice),she visited Henderson’s while I was still under contract with them and they handed the keys over without so much as a call, text or email to me as the property owner! What would have happened if it had been a disgruntled ex ? Or someone with an anterior motive ? Unbelievable to not have so much as a phone call to ask if it was ok to hand the keys over and were we aware of it,to say we were flabbergasted is an understatement.

Having recently asked Henderson Connellan to sell my property in Geddington for me I was gobsmacked at how incompetent they were. I was just beginning a large extension on it to double its size and asked them to market it off plan. They seem to have no concept of square footage and would compare a 1700sqft house with a 2700sqft house and value them the same. Between them they had no clue what they were doing and that was after the whole office traipsed through my house. Absolute clowns was all I could think whilst watching them. They are guess merchants and not very good ones at that. In 27 years of buying and selling property this is by far my worst experience I have had. Kettering office, you are an embarrassing joke.

Its been a month since i moved out from The property and i still haven’t got my deposit back The staff in henderson connellan have been promising to send an e-mail for The past month regarding my deposit and they’re saying that the landlord needs to Check the property and decide how much deposit I will receive even though it must of been Checked because they’re doing viewings for the property and I’m still waiting for the deposit . I do not recommend. Do not ask for anything because you will be thrown out - 5 minutes later you get a message that you have to move out. We did, because the property is ruined anyway, the owner probably only rents the property to keep the deposit. I call for a deposit and the young lady asks if i want to see the property , I say that iam calling for the deposit, that the landlord has to check the property but the property has long been available for rent with a higher rent ! No contact with the agency! The worst agency we've ever dealt with. The nice are only in the beginning until they get the money! The circus started from the first day of living! Never again.!!

Do not recommend the Kettering branch, had my offer accepted on a property and sent the relevant documents straight away. Told it would be taken off the market but the estate agent was extremely slow and did not remove the property or put sold subject to contract. Four days later I'm informed that another offer was accepted and the property was no longer mine. This is unprofessional and I'm disgusted with this behaviour.

Without a doubt the worst experience of my life, I have never been made to feel so little by spending My money. The experience made me feel like I was buying I used car, and to be honest that is a disservice to use car salespeople who put a lot more effort in than this particular lot of people in Kettering. I initially put an offer in of 10K below the asking price and was informed on the phone, this would not be accepted by the owner. I was then told that they have received a few offers and all the potential purchases will be given a fairly chance to put their best and final offer forward and would receive a call in the morning for my offer. I then called back within 20 minutes and was told person I was speaking to was unavailable I left a message for that individual to contact me, he never did. I called back 2 hours later and was left on hold for a good five minutes before somebody came back to me to let me know that the person I was trying to contact was not in the office. I received a call the following morning and was informed but the vendor had accepted an offer from one of the other offers that was put forward, this really upset me as I had made a couple of attempts to speak to them the day before to change my offer as we really, really liked that particular property. I spoke to the sale manager and explain my situation she was very apologetic and said she'd get to the bottom of the matter she also informed me that if I was to put a higher offer in she felt I would then be in the driver seat as the vendor was very much money driven. I put in 2,5K above asking price. we received calls from her and she informed us that the vendor Decided to go with the other offer because it was a sure thing. Two days ago I received a text message from the sales manager informing me that the house is back on the market I responded to her and left her a voice message I am still waiting for a call back, It no wonder this property has been put back on the market twice. #Worstexperienceever I do not recommend these people at all, if you value service and want a good experience of buying your dream home. Very poor service. Couldn’t sell a house in 6 months. Swapped to Chris George, sold within the weekend of listing. Never return phone calls, rarely answer emails. Certainly don’t work for the best interest of the vendor. Money for old rope. And the solicitor they recommend, in JS Law, nothing short of incompetent.

Very disappointed about the way they managed my move out of a property I was renting for 5 year! I was never late paying the rent! I had an issue that the landlord failed to fix for 4 years and in the end the agency was trying to make me pay for it, even though they knew that requests were made for the issue to be fix. Tried to resolve the problem over the phone, never the right person in the office, never got a call back, and when they did answer the phone they were rude!!!

To follow on from our recent conversation's at the end of a tenancy the condition of any property is measured against the Inventory Standard taking into account reasonable " Wear and Tear" as per the condition at the time of move in. Your Landlord is of the opinion that the property does not meet the standards set out above and is taking steps to remedy the points you have been made aware of. Your Deposit is held with the Deposit Protection Service who offer an arbitration process, if you are not in agreement with the points discussed and highlighted.
