From 6th April 2007, it was a legal requirement to register a tenant’s deposit with a government backed scheme, that was designed to protect the tenant from unfairly losing their deposit. We follow this legal requirement, and all deposits are held correctly and lawfully with the government backed Deposit Protection Service. If for any reason, the property is not vacated to a satisfactory standard, we will put forward an evidence based case to the Deposit Protection Service to withhold money from a tenants deposit. The Deposit Protection Service is an unbiased organisation and make the decision based on evidence provided by both parties, and each tenant has the right to appeal via the arbitration process if they disagree.
