1 star is generous for them, while renting a property with them. I had an issue with the boiler (and I have 2 young kids 3 &1) and it took 3 months to fix. Anytime there is a problem I want to recitify, I am made out to be the problem. Communication is terrible. Would never recommend them to anyone to rent from!!
Where do I even start? - highly inappropriate and ignorant comments - if you are non-Brit - 0 knowledge of the law - be ready to quote the tenancy act because they behave like they haven't seen it - take hundreds of photos of the property on the day you move in - they don't have those when it's time to move out (surprise) Honestly, I acknowledge that sometimes tenants may be difficult etc etc but I've never had to interact with so many incompetent people.
I have been really disappointed by their service. I had a viewing nearly after a week and they cancelled it and shifted the viewing again to the next week. Again, the employee named Tilly calls me again just like last week prior to the day of viewing saying that the property viewing has been cancelled as the property is gone now. I mean whats the point of scheduling a viewing. This is absolutely disappointing to the customers. Also, she spoke really rude when I told her that this happened twice.
BEWARE! Ben Coss is a rude, arrogant little man who just slags off other agents when in a valuation representing the muppets that are BELVOIR, my partner was disgusted with some of the things he came out with! We only entertained these jokers because we had multiple letters from them, but it turns out it’s just a software that generates it for them and it’s all rubbish, they only have about 11 properties for sale and 7 of them are flats DO NOT USE!!!
Unfortunately we had a bad experience with this agency,and I would like to give a heads up to others who are looking to rent through them.I know how difficult is when you find a house you like but at least you can be more careful than us. So we were renting property for 4 years, had just regular 6m checks which were fine, however landlord was involved from the beginning,we had to meet him,ask him permission for literally everywhere. At the end he asked us to leave the house in one way and agency did the worst report possible to make money out for both I presume. We feel completely betrayed and frauded. It is a long story to write so I won't go in details .We had to pay for things we were told to leave in the way we did and never got a chance to fix things how they wanted. They are just money,money,money! No humanity,not listening,just strictly by the book and making money in their and landlords interest. So, if you ever have to rent property through them, do everything by the contract,report every single bit and don't let landlord be involved in anything! Don't let them take your hard earned money for lie's ! Good luck
I have raised a complaint regarding the 6 monthly inspection visits during which multiple pictures are taken of every room which it felt it violates privacy and crosses boundaries. I raised this issue because it is not in the actual contract (although there's another letter in which this is mentioned, which Belvoir claims is part of the contract which brings more confusion into the matter) although I had inspection visits every 6 months so far. The UK law says the tenant owns the place as long they pay rent and there is a deposit and they are entitled to quiet enjoyment of the property. We've never been late with the rent, reported every fault in time and kept in touch regularly. With Belvoir that is not the case. When I brought up my concerns, I've been told that "maybe it's the time to move out", that maybe "I'm not happy", etc, overall a passive aggressive tone while talking down at you, as if I owe something to them. I found it offensive and appalling, condescending and insensitive, giving no space for discussion. I believe Belvoir forgot that tenants are owners while paying rent, they forgot that their services are under the law, not above and perhaps they thought that I've been borrowing a place to sleep for the last 2 years? Unfortunately they lost sight of their duty of care to tenants.
They’re very happy to increase and collect rent, but, very reluctant to take responsibility for any essential repairs that needs doing. Their communications with tenants is very condescending and demeaning. Avoid using their services.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism, Value
Rented from them a few years ago. Had a poor experience. I actually left a review then and they called me almost immediately to tell me to take it down. So they ignored our emails/calls but immediately saw that review? Poor service for renters and would not recommend.
truly a despicable place. the communication was non-existant. the two weeks trying to talk with this agency were the most stressful times in my life. my hair had almost went grey out of the copious amount of stress I had to experience.
Unsupportive to me as a tenant. Tried to charge me for stuff landlord had put in the property on exit, slow to respond to repairs and some improvements never made. Disappointing.
