Belvoir was an efficient agency until our tenancy ended. We gave them more than two months notice at the end of our tenancy, cooperated with property viewing while we were living there, paid our monthly rent on time and handed over keys of professionally cleaned house on the last day of our tenancy. Since then, they are not replying to my emails and returning any calls about deposit. Ms Chelsea Garratt was our property manager and she always replied within a day until the last day of our tenancy, but now she's ghosting us. I am sick of the agencies behaving like this after the end of tenancies.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Belvoir Welwyn. The director has pretty much threatened me that if tenants do not "act nice," they will withhold assistance, which is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I feel bullied for simply exercising my tenant rights in dealing with a property that has severe damp issues, which have negatively impacted my health. The management team has been rude and dismissive over the phone, despite appearing polite and professional in emails. This inconsistency is frustrating and untrustworthy. Calls should be recorded for training purposes to teach staff how to communicate respectfully with tenants. It is clear that their main interest lies in protecting landlords because they pay the agency, leaving tenants feeling unsupported and vulnerable.

Prospective tenants beware, this agent favours the landlords so expect to be without heating for over two months if you rent from them, also, still waiting for my deposit to be returned 10 days after handing the keys back and paying over £500 for professional cleaning of the flat. Landlords, please don't think you'll get an easy ride working with Belvoir as tenants are getting smart about their rights and the renters bill is coming.

Poor experience with these agents. We viewed rental property in Tewin. Put an offer forward the following week. Received a call to say the landlord wasn’t prepared to remove the old furniture as we requested and that it was a sticking point on the request etc etc. fair enough. We didn’t hear anything more. Then randomly out of the blue got a call from the agent after 2 weeks saying actually the landlord had changed his mind, they would remove the furniture and our offer was accepted. Again all went quiet, no further instructions or information or anything. I chased and chased over the period of a week to see what was going on/what we needed to do etc. Charlotte who I was supposed to be speaking to never returned my calls. Then today I do get through one of her colleagues who explained she had gone on holiday. They spoke to their manager who stated that actually the landlord had changed his mind again and another tenant had been found and the property was no longer available. I’ll take this as a red flag. I can only imagine how our life would be had we actually got the property and needed help or maintenance support from the agent or landlord. No calls would be answered or returned and we would be ignored…….. Ultimately it’s your choice but this is my experience. Absolutely no confidence to trust and work with either the landlord or the agent and I wouldn’t recommend this companies services to tenants.

Never rent from Belvoir. Lack of communication is dreadful, took weeks for a response. Maintenance issues were never responded too. Clearly favoured the Landlord for obvious monetary reasons. Their only interest is making the sale and nothing else subsequent.

Applied to an advertised "2 bedroom house" for a couple with a 2 year old kid. They come back and say 'the second bedroom' is too small for the kid. Why advertise it as "two bed house" then? Clearly they don't want kids living there and are not man enough to mention it on the listing.
