I have now investigated this matter and can confirm you submitted a property enquiry but you advised us that you had a pet. My colleague advised you that we did not have any landlords who accepted pets at the moment but we would let you know as soon as we had a property on the market that was pet friendly. Having reviewed your case, I note that you recently vacated one of our properties. During the check-out inspection, several cleaning issues were identified — not just the 'water marks' you referenced. Please note you are referring to this issue as 'water marks' but it is in fact limescale. As outlined in your tenancy agreement, tenants are required to return the property in a condition comparable to that at the start of the tenancy. The check-in inventory and supporting documentation show that this standard was not met. You mentioned concerns about fairness. It’s important to clarify that landlords should not be expected to bear the cost of additional cleaning in order to maintain a high standard for incoming tenants. This is precisely why detailed inventories and check-out inspections are carried out — to ensure transparency and fairness for all parties involved. I must reiterate that deductions are based on fact which is documented in the inventory and checkout report with photographic evidence.
