My daughter and her friends have just finished letting with Credential in Tooting and the way they have been treated has been appalling. They have been exemplary professional tenants and the bullying and dismissive nature of their property manager Ollie upset the girls. Given the immaculate condition they left the property in and the mice the girls had to endure throughout the tenancy I was appalled by the retention of some of their deposit and Ollie's response to their complaint. I refer to your review. I am disappointed to learn that you were not satisfied with the service provided by Credential. I have now investigated this matter and can confirm that the property occupied by your daughter and her friends was not handed back in a suitable condition following the termination of their tenancy. I can further confirm that the documents we provided to your daughter contained factual evidence of the difference in condition from when the tenancy commenced. Unfortunately as managing agents it is part of our job to ensure a property is handed back to us in a suitable condition and if it is not then any issues will need to be rectified or deductions will need to be made from a deposit. We still have to continue to carry out our obligations to landlords in this respect and will not be threatened by tenants and bullied into changing our findings in return for receiving a bad review. Should tenants wish to dispute any deductions from a deposit then they are advised to file a dispute through the Deposit Protection Service where the deposit is held. This was all communicated to all tenants in our correspondence.
