customer care is very good , support is very good.
my worst experience in Blackburn.
Review of Mayets Estate Agents As an overseas landlord, I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service provided by Mayets Estate Agents. My experience with this agency has been unprofessional, frustrating, and deeply disappointing, and I would strongly advise others to stay away. At the start, my interactions with Mayet seemed promising. She personally viewed my property, offered advice, and agreed to put it on the rental market. However, once I left the country, things quickly took a turn for the worse, and I began to see her true colours. Key issues I faced include: - Poor communication: Despite sending detailed messages that required responses, I was repeatedly ignored for weeks at a time. - Unhelpful office staff: Calling the office proved useless, as I was met by young and inexperienced admin staff who didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Every attempt to speak directly with Mayet was met with the same response: “She’s in a meeting.” Eventually, I decided to withdraw my property from Mayets Estate Agents, fully aware there would be a cost. I simply did not want to continue working with such an unprofessional agent. Ironically, once I made that decision, I suddenly received a flurry of messages and newfound urgency from Mayet — the level of communication I had needed from the beginning. What happened next was even worse: - I agreed to pay Mayet for her time as a gesture of goodwill, even though no formal contract had been signed. - She charged me £125 for an EICR report, claiming it had been completed and promising to email me a copy. Months later, I have still not received this report. - Before leaving the UK, I had personally arranged and completed the gas certificate, leaving it on the kitchen counter. Despite this, she invoiced me £175 for another gas certificate after I had already withdrawn my property. Shockingly, the document she sent was an empty, blank certificate. This entire experience has been deeply disappointing. To make matters worse, I was referred to Mayets by a friend — a recommendation I now greatly regret. Please take the time to read the numerous negative reviews already posted about this agency; unfortunately, my experience mirrors many of them. I lost money, never received the promised EICR report, and even encountered what appeared to be a fraudulent attempt involving the gas certificate. If I could give zero stars, I would. Save yourself the stress — choose a more reliable and professional agent
The girl on the phone is clueless, she doesn’t know the area or the price of the property they are advertising
Not answering calls during opening hours on mutiple ocassions when attempted. Past reviews indicate that this is a reoccurring issue that needs to be dealt with as a priority. If you do not have the resources to cover main duties such as call handling this could lead to loss of business overall.
Call office phone, never any answer, business shows open on Google. Poor customer service.
Rang Mayets to put in an offer on a house to be told by the rude guy on the phone that they would only be looking for offers over £150,000 even though it’s on for £145,000. Since then I’ve emailed to forward my offer with DIP but no reply. The one thing that an estate agent’s needs is good communication and they just haven’t got it!!!
STAY AWAY. I was purchasing a property through Mayets and at first, things were going smoothly. My mortgage offer was accepted in 2-3 days and I’d paid my for my solicitors to start work. This is when communication stopped from Julie and her team for almost 2 weeks. She stopped answering calls. One minute she was “in a meeting” and promised to call back and the next she’s “out of office”. Finally, after numerous attempts when I managed to make contact, her attitude suddenly turned nasty and the nice act was quickly dropped. She informed she has now accepted a “significantly higher” offer for the house I was purchasing. I was confused as to how this was possible as she had given written and verbal confirmation my offer was accepted and I’d started work to progress the sale. I expressed my frustration as I’d spent hundreds on my solicitors and broker and she did not stick to her word, therefore I’d lost out on a lot of money. Julie stated that legally she is not at fault and is still able to accept higher offers and continue with viewings despite already accepting an offer. She mentioned countless times that continuing with viewings and accepting new offers was not against the law and unfortunately, this is how things work. I said I am not threatening legal action but does your word mean nothing? But unfortunately, as she wasn’t doing anything against the law, she was happily in the clear. Just know, if your offer is accepted, this means nothing and her word means absolutely nothing. Be prepared to lose your solicitor and broker fees. Her communication was atrocious and her lack of empathy was abysmal. To top it all off, the cherry on the cake was her asking why I couldn’t buy another property off her (which was £75,000 more than the property she retracted the offer from) “because I have a good job so can afford it”. I’d gladly never work with her again.
Extremely rude customer service on the phone. The young lad on the phone is really rude when speaking in general, picking up the phone there is no welcome, communication and professionalism is extremely rude. I had a house viewing booked which took nearly 10 minutes to book over the phone. He had booked me for a viewing I didn't even ask for. Then rearranged to a time we had agreed on. The next day( day of the viewing) he rang and I picked up and no apologies no professionalism, just said "you can't do 2pm, it'll have to be 3pm or 4pm". I asked why as we had agreed on the time 24 hours ago and his response was "our agent is another meeting with a customer and they have more priority over you" which I found extremely rude. We then agreed to 3pm and the estate agent was late and didn't much details or information on the house. Quite disappointed considering how popular the company seems to be- work needs to be done on customer service .
