First and for most, my comment is neither positive nor negative its neutral. I know how aggressively the agent defends any negative feedback, thus i would like to mention it. I called up the agency for viewing a property, the agency is not even willing to show me the property if i dont let them know all the information they needed. I can understand about my name phone number, working status(affordability check). Why do they need my kids name age and all other personal details just for viewing the property. You can take all the details once i agree to take the property. If you dont think i can afford dont let the property, and if i dont like the property i will not take it. But asking for all the information even for viewing is too much. The lady over the phone was too rude, as if they are giving the property for charity. I was not happy with the service and will never use them. If other dont mind sharing the data and want to use the service, they may do so. ThanksNegativeQuality, Professionalism
Not answering calls during opening hours on mutiple ocassions when attempted. Past reviews indicate that this is a reoccurring issue that needs to be dealt with as a priority. If you do not have the resources to cover main duties such as call handling this could lead to loss of business overall.
Put an offer in for a property and received no feedback whether it had been accepted or rejected. Rang a couple of weeks later for an update and spoke to a woman who stated the vendor is asking for offers over £145,000 which is quite surprising as the property was advertised as £139,000 and we made a reasonable offer within that range considering there was a lot of work that needed doing. I feel as though our offer wasn’t put forward to the vendor and the estate agents are just trying to make a bit of a profit definitely lack communication and don’t feel as though they are trustworthy.
Rang Mayets to put in an offer on a house to be told by the rude guy on the phone that they would only be looking for offers over £150,000 even though it’s on for £145,000. Since then I’ve emailed to forward my offer with DIP but no reply. The one thing that an estate agent’s needs is good communication and they just haven’t got it!!!
STAY AWAY. I was purchasing a property through Mayets and at first, things were going smoothly. My mortgage offer was accepted in 2-3 days and I’d paid my for my solicitors to start work. This is when communication stopped from Julie and her team for almost 2 weeks. She stopped answering calls. One minute she was “in a meeting” and promised to call back and the next she’s “out of office”. Finally, after numerous attempts when I managed to make contact, her attitude suddenly turned nasty and the nice act was quickly dropped. She informed she has now accepted a “significantly higher” offer for the house I was purchasing. I was confused as to how this was possible as she had given written and verbal confirmation my offer was accepted and I’d started work to progress the sale. I expressed my frustration as I’d spent hundreds on my solicitors and broker and she did not stick to her word, therefore I’d lost out on a lot of money. Julie stated that legally she is not at fault and is still able to accept higher offers and continue with viewings despite already accepting an offer. She mentioned countless times that continuing with viewings and accepting new offers was not against the law and unfortunately, this is how things work. I said I am not threatening legal action but does your word mean nothing? But unfortunately, as she wasn’t doing anything against the law, she was happily in the clear. Just know, if your offer is accepted, this means nothing and her word means absolutely nothing. Be prepared to lose your solicitor and broker fees. Her communication was atrocious and her lack of empathy was abysmal. To top it all off, the cherry on the cake was her asking why I couldn’t buy another property off her (which was £75,000 more than the property she retracted the offer from) “because I have a good job so can afford it”. I’d gladly never work with her again.
This is the first company that I have had the misfortune to come across were the negative feedback they have received over the years paints the truest picture. Furnished or part furnished I dont have to sleep on your bed,you folk round there might like sleeping on other folks beds but I prefer to sleep on my own bed thank you very much. Good luck you will need it.
Strong NOT recommend renting! In the beginning, Julie was a so kind and friendly act However, it will soon change when there are issues she wants to avoid despite it being her real job. When I received the keys and the house was filthy. I haven't received the EICR. All her promises weren't kept. It takes days/weeks to respond. ignore all work to be done. The agency hasn't done any inventory check and after trying to charge for things that are not in your lease. The only way to get any movement from Julie was to involve Housing standards. Once she was notified, her agressive behaviour made me decide to leave the property If you want to see her bad attitude on display when she doesn't get her way, just look at her responses to negative reviews. She doesn't accept that she might be in the wrong, just the same attitude you'll encounter when you try to ask her to do something.
Wanted to view a property but the rude women on phone did not entertain unless I agree to offer a certain price.. asked to see the property in person and got told the pictures is what you will see, it is what it is.. would not recommend such attitude to deal with..
