Didn't want to give them

Didn't want to give them 1 star but I had no choice. They are beyond appalling. Firstly, the house that I reviewed and was in poor repair was told it had a deep clean. Well, that was not the case, it was disgusting when I received the keys, therefore I sent a catalogue of pictures to evidence such. After that was settled, I found that the carbon monoxide was out of date, by a year!!!! They had myself and my children in there whilst the place was not legal to do so. I made it my home for nearly 18 months, always always paid the rent in time. Adhered to the tenancy agreement 110%. The final straw was when the en-suite began to leak, the shower tray was split. It took 3 months of me waiting, missed visits from them selves and I'd taken time off work to meet with the. (Frustrating) then when I'd hit My limit, not being able to use the facilities I was still paying for, I complained and I was issued a section 21. I had improved that property so much, I gave them the property back in a much better condition than what it was received and had carpets cleaned the day I left even though they were beyond disgusting when I moved in. They fail to tell you about all the hidden fees also. Disgusting service, catalogue of errors on their behalf and I do not appreciate being called a liar by them. I confronted the office directly as I was sick off getting fobbed on whenever I called. I had just lost my father when this was happening and I really didn't need the extra grief considering it was not my fault!! I did right my you and your landlord to the tee!! Sadly, you could not stick to your end if the bargain. Avoid at all cost. Sarah -Churchbridge

Belvoir as an organisation

Belvoir as an organisation has been one of the most pathetic experience of my life. Starting from communication standards to customer experience, they make sure they disappoint in all aspects. And guess what, they are still adament way beyond their imagination. To summarize - pathetic !

The worst agency I ever

Horrible customer service, horrible service, horrible house. Everything was broken NOBODY bothered or tried to fix it, i complained over and over and over again and nothing. When I finally found a new house that didn't let me go and I had to stay and pay the rent while my kids were getting sick bc of the mould in the house and other things. Everything was bad I DONT RECOMEND!

I think it's clear from all the prior reviews on this company that they give highly different service to their tenants than they do their landlords. As a tenant I've had nothing but issues with them - my first warning signs should have been when they kept loosing my paperwork during application. Now, several months and problems down the line? I'm still living with maintenance issues, have filed a formal complaint and sought legal advice. The customer service is terrible, the manager is never around to take calls, I've been sworn at, hung up on and told to 'stop making up lies' whilst trying to simply get the leak in my window fixed. Dont deal with them. They are a disaster. just look at the reviews on allagents! As if that wasn't enough, this building apparently didnt even have a fire safety certificate until AFTER they'd started moving people in - I remember the landlord connecting the fire alarm and putting the fire doors up over a month after I'd moved in!

Hi Jess - We are sorry you are not happy with the service you have received, we have tried to help where possible and I have taken your calls, you have even spoken to me in the evenings on my mobile. We will always try to help, I have not only spoken to you over the telephone I have also met you in person at the office, we will always do our upmost to help and manage many properties for both landlords and tenants. I am available at the office should you wish to discuss anything. Regards Michael

TERRIBLE!

Where do I start!? The building it's self seems to be failing apart, every room with a window in it has mould and damp growing on the walls, homeless breaking into a "SECURE" car park/buliding using heroin leaving behind needles and paraphernalia when there are families with children living in the building. Maintenance is non existent as we have a live in cleaner that thinks leaving a firedoor open all night to let their friends in the building is acceptable. When ringing in to the office you get greeted with attitude when raising issues and told "You are more than welcome to leave" which they seem to think is acceptable customer service. Yesterday we had a visit from *who is very understanding but his comment of "even I wouldn't live here" is rather concerning considering they have taken no action to resolve any problems. In short stay away from belvoir like the plague, they will bend over backwards for a landlord, but when it comes to tenants the really don't seem to give a toss! Not good considering the amount of money paid out to them monthly in rent!

poor customer

I am currently a Tenant with Belvoir and I would like to say I am not happy with the way the staff communicate there. I am pregnant and when my boiler broke down it was super stressful as I like to keep everything hygienic. Trying to organise an engineer was tough. I spoke to two ladies named Trish and Hannah both of whom I asked to ring me back. Trish never did and Hannah waited till the next day to update me which is a long time to wait when you have not had hot running water for 2 days. Just a phone call to say they were waiting on the landlord would of been nice and is part of good customer service and communication. I had to ring them to get updates most of the time and when an engineer was available I got a phone call on the day to say I had the option of lunch time that the next day which gave me little time to organise myself. Luckily it worked out. I found it difficult to express myself as Hannah talked over me and didnt really listen. she also said she would let me know when the engineer was on there way but never did, you generally take it in good faith that people will do what they say. There was a text from a company called cube to my boyfriends phone who was away but there was no way of telling that this was the boiler engineer. It just left us confused It was particularly important that someone ring me as I have no Buzzer in the block of flats where I live so its impossible to know when people arrive at our home. We have pushed for this to rectified but I find that the Belvoir staff in many of the branches we have dealt with dont ring you back or bother chasing up problems when asked. We still have sewage stained tiles on the ceiling of the main staircase where there was a leak, there is now a hole in the ceiling, we have complained to to Wednesbury branch about this but, again no movement there. When I tried to expressed my frustration to Trish at the Lack of communication she gave a half arsed apology and made excuses for Hannah not doing her job. She then told me I was going round in circles and then slammed the phone down on me. All of this has left me feeling totally undervalued as a Belvoir customer. If we had the money we would move from the flat but as young couple expecting a baby we have no choice but to stay where we are. I would not recommend Belvoir in any way

If i could give them no

As i am writing this review i am literally frozen as my heater does not work for about 4 days but they don't care...anytime you call them with whatever problem they will say they are informing the landlord and then nothing is happening. So i only have 2 heaters in all the house for 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen, hallway and bathroom and now i am left with one when is 0 degrees ouside! I have so many complains but will be pointless to write them all... But shortly My flat is full of mould and the underground parking place is full of human excrements and toilet paper for more then 1 month now and yessss i do pay for it! This people are unbelievable i swear! I am just writing this review hopping that someone will read it and don't rent thru them.

As a tenant they rarely got any problems in the house I rented fixed, even dangerous electrical problems, i.e. sockets not unearthed or near water. Trying to get deposit back is unreal, they rarely answer the phone either. They definitely DON'T support the tenant.

This is the worst renting agency, They still owe me money and they cheated me upfront. I took a property on rent from Harveys agency, they did capture the images of the house and belvoir took that property later and they did not take the images that Harveys captured and took all my advance and when I ask they are asking me more money. Trust me these guys are not at all good and I will never suggest anybody with Belvoir.

Worst Lettings Agent

I started to rent a property from Belvoir Wolverhampton (then Goodchilds, new name, same awful trading) in November last year. But even before then it was a train wreck of a tenancy. They lost my information three times, told me I could move in five times, only to keep putting the date back, and raised my rent from what was advertised twice, from £450 to £475 to £495 When I was finally allowed to move in there were HORRIFIC maintenance issues, that I'd informed them about 6 weeks before hand and just hadn't been dealt with. It's now been almost five months of back and forth and I'm still living with a window that leaks all over the floor each time it rains - in fact, I'm now living with 4 of them. Beyond that, we've found out belvoir moved people into the flats before they'd even passed fire safety checks! Putting us all at risk! ILLEGALLY. In 5 months I have been sworn at, hung up on and seem to be playing a constant game of 'chase the manager' (Mr Warke) who is conveniently never around when I call, every day, for the past three weeks. I've lodged a formal complaint and will be seeking legal advice on my case and pushing it to the ombudsman if i hear nothing (which is looking likely). Worst agent ever. dont go with them if you value your sanity.
