I was letting a property and throughout the whole time I found it difficult to communicate with and get answers from the agency. When we moved in it was clear that the property had not been inspected early enough before move in as it was in a complete state, and they couldn't organise cleaning until after our tenancy started. It was then a lot cleaner but still not to a high standard.

My details are still being shared with property maintenance contractors 3 months after I've left the property, despite me asking my details to be removed. Generally sums up my whole experience of them honestly.

Ridiculous, that's what pops in my mind when I see Prospect agency. At the beginning they looked professional as all the agencies and it went wrong when we needed something from them. When they wanted something from us we had few hours for our answer. But other way a round doesn't really work. They offered their solicitor saying if we don't use them we can't put proper offer on the house we like so we did whatever they wanted us to do, we trusted them as we were first time buyers. So payed £25 deposit and says no deal no charge. But after 3month seemed like we're using different agency for our purchase so kindly asked them to refund me that money, not an answer. It's been 3 month since I first asked them to send back the money and asked different people min 4 times,still nothing. I don't know who's fault it is and not about the £25 just shocking this company can afford to ignore people like this, not once. Maybe just my experience.

EDIT: New information below the line. Utterly disappointed, they've provided us contracts with typos, errors as well as given us incorrect information and not even provided energy & item list prior to tenancy, even when requested. They've failed to deliver keys & correct amount, are very slow to respond to emails and calls. Prior to tenancy they will require you to provide their 3rd party contractor a large amount of information that was not discussed prior on the on-site meeting. ----- Update: after this interview I've got in talk with the manager of the Reading office, it was a nice talk and errors were admitted on his colleague's part - I work as a manager for customer care and would not dare to write emails in the tone, formatting and information value that have been sent to me by one of the employee. This has been rectified. Sadly the property came with many kinks that were rather hidden, including water leak, bed that was designed for carpet use, not hard wood therefore was power-sliding across the floor and I've had to create rubberized platforms to keep it stable and not a Health & Safety hazard. Property lacks fire extinguisher, exit labels as well as room layout schema and additional appropriate equipment. Company has refunded me 200 GBP for missing items in the inventory that they themselves have provided and then realized was faulty. Another error on their part. Evidence in writing is available for further inquiries.

WORST EVER ESTATE AGENCY !!! I have recently rented a property which is totally managed by this agency. Facing lots of issues and still facing after moving into the property. They just ignore your calls and dont answer your emails. All they do quickly is take money. Had informed them all the issues the property had at the time of initial viewing and had got assurance that it will be rectified before moving in. Now its 15 days after moving in all the issues remain as it is. I have to and is still following up with them to resolve those issues till today. Also poorly knowledgable about the property they are managing. Dont know where the water supply meter are, initial electric meters readings taken incorrectly. I had to postpone my moving in date since they didn't cleaned the property even though they had sufficient time in between. Not recomended at all. Considering their high fees and very very poor standard of service please avoid them at any cost.

Shocking in EVERY WAY, I am a tenant and they cannot collect rent on time, they pay by card a month early and the Landlord gets paid late as they 'loose' payments. then call and ask for details and receipts as they have lost the information. Landlord = Loosing out Tenant = massive inconvenience and made to look bad in landlord's eyes Prospect = WIN Interest for the month they don't pay the landlord and then blame everyone else. So much stress on top, a year to get a copy of a contract, unhelpful staff, rude staff, poorly trained staff. Arrogance shown is totally unbelievable. BOTH LANDLORDS AND TENANTS SHOULD AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

This company first contacted me many years ago, and I made it very clear at the time that I did not want to be kept on their system or contacted again. We have since chosen to sell our property through Avocado, yet this firm continued to call and email in an attempt to win the business. I found this extremely unprofessional. Their approach came across as pushy and underhanded, especially as they continued despite being told I was not interested. Continuing to contact someone after they have clearly asked not to be contacted is, in my opinion, definitely against GDPR rules. Trying to take business from another company through constant pressure tactics is not acceptable. Selling a much-loved home is stressful enough without being hounded by persistent unwanted calls and emails. Based on my experience, this is not the sort of company I would want representing me or my property. I would highly recommend using Avocado instead. Ps the amount of fake reviews on this profile is unreal! Just look at the date stamps😂 focus on being a professional business rather than dirty tactics

1- I had some viewings with them and found a place for 150K. I offered 140K and they didn't put it forward. Now the place is for 140K on the market. 2- They confirmed twice by email and their brochure that the service charge was zero. After the offer, it turned out that there was a service charge for aroud £600. 3- They have a mortgage broker, even though you agree to have a call with them, they don't bother to call you. I tried calling them at least 10 times, but they didn't even answer the call. Okay, the viewing side was good, but then everything became so unprofessional. And now I cancelled my offer and they are saying that they won't show me any more properties. If you need to validate my review, please contact back and happy to provide any evidence.
