My experience with Prospect Lettings has been highly disappointing and frustrating. I recently moved into a property managed by Prospect Lettings in Reading, UK, and from the onset, I have encountered severe maintenance issues that remain unresolved despite multiple complaints. The property suffers from persistent hot water shortages, making it extremely inconvenient for daily activities such as bathing and washing. Additionally, drainage problems have plagued the property, causing inconvenience and discomfort. Despite promptly notifying both the agency and the landlord of these issues, no solution has been provided. As a tenant, I expect basic living standards, including access to hot water and functioning drainage systems. The prolonged neglect of these essential maintenance issues by Prospect Lettings reflects poorly on their professionalism and commitment to tenant satisfaction. I am deeply dissatisfied with the level of service provided by Prospect Lettings and would caution others against renting through them. The lack of urgency and inadequate response to tenant concerns demonstrate a disregard for tenant well-being and highlight serious shortcomings in their property management practices. Overall, my experience with Prospect Lettings has been marred by unresolved maintenance issues and a lack of accountability. I strongly advise potential renters to consider alternative options to avoid similar frustrations and disappointments.

Reading Prospect are terrible. THEY DONT PAY THE CLEANERS they send to their properties. SHAME OF THEM. DO THEY KEEP CLIENTS MONEY ???

Ridiculously unhelpful and unmotivated set of salespeople. Young, inexperienced and rude.

Had booked viewing, got sms confirmation. After waiting for 10 mins at the apartment had to call the agency as no one turned up. On the call they said viewing was cancelled. We were not informed of the cancellation in any way. Very unprofessional in communication. With the market so good we got a feeling that they dnt need the customers, only we need them.

When looking for properties to rent, the properties are exactly what I was looking for. When added to sites like Zoopla and RightMove, even 3 days prior or on the very day they were added to the marketplace the let had already been agreed to.... How? I don't know, but this has happened to me on 5 separate occasions. Don't try to rent a property with this agency, they have already agreed to let the property to someone on the same day it's been marketed.

I came to a viewing and it was a no show, agent on the phone did not seem to care and lies about the property being rented when its still on the market months after if you're coming from far away especially DO NOT USE OR BOOK WITH THIS ESTATE AGENT A WASTE OF TIME MONEY AND TRAVEL EXPENSES.

They take holding deposit, and after cancel me House for my credit check and don't return.
