We've just completed the sale of our house through Theydons and we couldn't have asked for a better estate agency. From our first meeting with James, we felt that we were not only dealing with an experienced professional, but also with a really nice person who was cheerful, straightforward and a pleasure to work with. We were very pleased with every aspect of the process - the initial advice, the photographs and marketing, the arrangements for viewings, the negotiation of the sale and the good-humoured support we received during the inevitable stressful moments. James and his colleagues were absolutely reliable throughout; they always did what they said they'd do and their communication was excellent. We can't praise them highly enough and wouldn't use any other agent. A great service.

We had been looking at

We had been looking at properties for almost a year by the time we viewed the first place with Theydons. You get to meet quite a variety of estate agents during that process - some who live up to the negative stereotypes, some who don't. Theydons were definitely in the latter camp. During the viewing they seemed very straightforward, and not at all pushy. They answered the questions they could answer, and said they'd get back to us on the ones they couldn't - rather than just telling us what we wanted to hear. We put in an offer which was accepted, and everything went smoothly from there. They were very helpful in communicating with the vendors, getting back to us promptly with answers to any further queries. As first time buyers the process can be stressful and confusing, so it was very reassuring to feel we were dealing with honest and switched on estate agents. We've been in our lovely new home for a couple of weeks now and just received an email from James to check everything was ok - which was a really nice touch. He's been able to get quick responses on a couple of post-move queries from the vendors, which just demonstrates that he's been able to do what an estate agent should be doing: keeping both buyer and seller happy! Would thoroughly recommend.

James, despite his young

James, despite his young years was first class. having used a more established, larger, agency originally James was a breath of fresh air. I imagine due to being fairly young he's hungry which is a major bonus. He was super courteous, timely and able to read between the lines (honest) when providing feedback from people who viewed our property.

James Ball was excellent from

James Ball was excellent from viewing to discussions with the owners. He was very persistent and continuously chased any issues up for a speedy process. All in all a smooth service- we couldn't be happier.

We worked with Taryn for over

We worked with Taryn for over a year on two different property purchases and the sale of our flat. The first purchase fell through after almost a year - she managed the whole thing brilliantly. The second purchase was part of a long chain and we had to move very fast. She was brilliant, at negotiating on our behalf and being diplomatic with all parties involved. We will definitely use Theydon's again and will specifically ask for Taryn to work with us!

I rented a property through Theydons and found them a decent letting agent and a good property management company. They do not charge for contract renewals and they always responded promptly to any maintenance issues. The check-out process was smooth and painless!

I have been renting a property with Theydons for two years and I could not have possibly asked for a better agency! Any problem my housemates and I had was dealt with beyond efficiently, with care and we were never made to feel like a burden or inconvenience.
