The whole experience with Theydons was one of the worst of my life . Their director and founder , Andrew (a third rate ex footballer ) was incredibly rude on several occasions , the worst of which was when he came to “inspect” the property and picked that it wasn’t clean enough , nitpicking on every minute detail . I answered him back , he seemed shocked that I did .Then when the tenancy was over , one flat viewing was suddenly cancelled with some lame excuse . Another flat was then seen and the holding deposit paid , only for it to also be cancelled with the excuse “the landlord has gone in a different direction “ . The person helping us , was Louise who we trusted as she helped us get the first property , you could tell by her body language she had been ordered to tell us - It was clear the theydons staff were instructed by Andrew to sabotage our chances to get a place . Everyone in theydons was rude , with the exception of Neil who was a really nice guy . Theydons also lacks diversity in their staff , and are racist to ethnic minorities In the end we had 2 weeks left but thankfully found a place with another agent and spent a peaceful 7 years there with no issues .

An absolute bunch of incompetents, scammers and liars. Them and the landlords they deal with. AVOID!

Alec from Theydons tried to bully me in to completing on a purchase after falsely advertising things relating to the lease. I don't know how they thought they were going to get away with it. After being fed a bunch of lies and cheap bullying tactics from Alec, I sought advice from my solicitor who, went over the deeds in detail and uncovered multiple discrepancies. Theydons kept saying that they will put the property back on the market if I didn't hurry up and complete the purchase. Long story short, I dodged a bullet there! Do not trust Theydons! They live up to the stereotype dodgy estate agents!

Thought their customer services could be done better

I live in 7A Fullers Avenue, today (31/12/2020) I accidently locked myself out without my keys. I called the emergency number that Theydons provided, the phone was answered by one of the manager Louise Nichols, she said give me 20 minutes to see who is the closest and they will bring a spare key to you. I called her back after 25 minutes and she advised me that someone will be with you in 45-1h max, after 1 hour and 20 mins I called her back to see the progress and she answered the phone with an angry tone “how can I help you?” she started shouting at me said ‘I advised you someone will be with you, its your fault that you looked yourself out’. It was extremely unprofessional from her. Its not the first time the management in this place has communicated in an unacceptable and rude way for example by shouting and yelling and talking without understanding or listening to the caller, to name and shame these people are: Ashlie Green, Theresa Bradley and before was a person called Taylor Purll who has now left to cause harm in another agency. This is totally unprofessional management and I seriously advise anyone to stay away from these people. Hi More than 2 weeks ago i have enquired with your agency one property in grove green road, leytonstone,2 bed flat £1200pcm. I really liked the property so i went to view the property, agent was very rude and he wasn't wearing mask properly as well as he wasn't interested to showing that property .After viewing the property straightaway i have send email to the agent about offer form and called 100 times in theydons customer service number every time they will take my details and inform me that the agent is busy, will call be back. In this 2 weeks he didn't contact me. Really dissapointed with your company customer service, i can see the property was listed in october and still available.
