Nicholas Humphrey property is not a trustworthy agency, they’re dubious in nature and you’ll regret dealing with them. I have very bad experience with them when I rent their 3 bedroom at 9 south street Derby Derbyshire, the house is not very rough and the cooker is not couple with other things I complained about in the house and they didn’t attend to it till moved out of the house. I have been requesting for my exit report since February of this year without response from them and when they later respond to me, they responded with exit report that doesn’t have my information and home address with it….. Nicholas Humphrey is not a trustworthy agency. Below is the exit report I got from them

Don’t go with them they conduced viewings for where I am staying and they left the door unlocked whilst I was out so when I returned I had a unlocked door which I left locked

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I think that the worst thing about this estate agent is that they will tell you they are dealing with your issues but are doing nothing about it! Liars and crooks!

Really poor communication. Asking for holding deposit, ask for 2million questions, raise the rent, ask if we are still okay with it, we pay and then they give the house for somebody else. Ridiculous

Worst agency I have ever dealt with. Call themselves professionals but if you ever deal with them, I recommend recording every conversation and getting everything on paper/black and white. Wrong adverts and when you have an issue takea ages before they even do anything about it

I don't know how to put a negative 5 star review. As a landlord, their service is NON-EXISTENT. Lost keys, not able to provide tenancy contracts, no replies to emails, can't get fire safety checks done on time. When we terminate their contract, they threatened to sue us for the rest of the management fees. Ombudsmen couldn't help either. For landlords, pls don't use them. For tenants, I guess if their service is terrible, they will also treat you shabbily.

If I could give this company 0 I would. Disgusting service with tenants, intimidating on the phone and condescending in person. Not a personable member of staff in the derby branch. Mould in the flat was claimed to be our fault, radiators weren’t fixed for months during WINTER. The mould eventually lead to me having health issues which have only been resolved since moving out. I thought all letting agents were this bad until moving, any students who are looking to get accommodation in derby AVOID Nicholas and Humphrey’s they are HORRIFIC. They treat all students like children regardless of age. So many other bad things to report on these agents and I feel sorry for other students like me who just wanted to find a nice flat to live in during university. If any students are reading this and wondering about who to go with, the student letting guys are AMAZING agents who treat their clients like clients and not annoyances.

Like so many other comments if I could give this rating a 0 I would. This is the worst company I have been in contact with. Called them Friday morning to confirm my visit and viewing for a flat, to which they agreed the viewing is still going ahead. I then drive 2 hours to Derby to get to the place of viewing for there to be nobody waiting for me on the Saturday morning (not even 24 hours later) called back the agency for a reply that my reviewing had been CANCELLED without being told that this was the case. Their service has been nothing but rubbish (nicest word to say the least). They don’t reply to emails or inform you of any updates. Any student wishing to find a property in Derby I would avoid this company at all cost as all you will receive is false advertisement and disappointment.
