No service at all. No notification or email for the landlord asking for possession. We have to find another place in one month in London

Only in it to take money

Worse customer service ever. They rent property under their name that has black mould making your son ill, and black mould on high chairs. No down stairs lights report September 2023 still not done so trying to eat dinner is difficult as it’s winter and dark. Fence with all nails sticking out reported in April last year still not sort. Open electric box with wirse, hot water pile with no cover over so dangerous with kids reported September still not done and loads more. All they after is commission. They ignore you and try blame everyone else. Take responsibility you let these landlords uses your company name and reputation. Avoid

Absolutely appallingly company. You get a free probate valuation for solicitors to do probate and then they non stop call you. 6 months on I am still being hounded by calls! Nothing like letting a family morn the loss of their father. Badgering to sell the family home is much more important to this company! AVOID for valuations.

We don't have any records of multiple calls to your number and we certainly do not "hound" people. We are very sorry if this has caused any upset and we have updated our records to prevent further calls. It is usual practice to follow up from time to time after a free valuation has been provided. I had the worse experience. I had only chance to buy a property before my maternity and they wasted my time by lies that all the process is going through and actually they put back the property into the market to sell it in a higher price. They lied to me, to my mortgage adviser and to my lender. At the end they cleaned their hands that the vendor changed his mind. But the problem is they never told us that. I think they wanted to keep me in pocket in case no other buyers come for higher price. I lost my chance of my life losing 3 months with them until we find property, have an offer, and then we start the process. I had also concerns with lack of communication, not true promises and reassurances and also private personal information which is leaked to them from their mortgage adviser which I never gave my consent to be shared to them. I feel totally crushed.

We are sorry to read this review. I understand you have submitted an official complaint so I will leave that to be dealt with via our official complaints procedure. Unfortunately we do have instances where people miss out on a property and we understand this is emotional and stressful and do all we can to be fair. We have to take our vendors instructions and the nature of the market where demand is higher than supply does sometimes mean people miss out and this is always a tough experience and something we try to handle as sensitively as we can.

In the summer contacted them 3 times to view a house for sale down Greenways, didn’t ring back to any of the messages left (messages left with a member of team but they inform you someone from sales will be in touch). The specific house went off Rightmove. Then got re-added in early autumn. Called twice and went to their office - all these times was the same response someone from sales will get back to you. When we went to their office and spoke to them, they said the same thing, no phone calls received to any of these responses. So all in all don’t expect them to respond to any queries. We were really keen on the house and could have offered asking price. When asked if we would consider using them as our estate agent - what do you think the answer was, no!!!

Whilst we can make an educated guess as to what happened, in reality it doesn’t really matter as we pride ourselves on our customer care and the service you received was not acceptable so we are sorry. I'm so disappointed at the service rendered to us at Charles David Casson. I really don't get why a 2 bedroom flat will be overcrowding for a family of four (husband, wife , daughter 6, son 4)? I don't understand their reason enough. It's disappointing to know honestly. This is our 2nd attempt with you guys.

I am sorry to hear your review Temitope. I have spoken with the team and the property you enquired about does have a very small single bedroom that is not suitable for double occupancy. I understand it’s difficult and a sensitive subject but we do have to be careful of overcrowding smaller properties and have to take our landlord clients wishes into account. We would love to try and help you find a more suitable property.

AVOID this business. No customer service. Ignored all correspondence. I bet they won't take 4 months to reply to this negative review however.

Good Afternoon Joe, This review is not actually in relation to this company as we are an Estate and Letting Agents based in Chelmsford and you are leaving a review for a Block Management company that used to be in our group but no longer is. It has also always been a completely seperate entity. We are aware of your correspondance in relation to your block of flats in Romford and when that business was sold it was passed onto the new owners who should now have been in contact with you. We would request you remove this review as it does not relate to the company profile you have left it on. Don't bother leaving your details when promised a call back to discuss a property you would like to see with a view to rent. You won't hear back from them at all.
