A few month ago myself and a friend were looking to rent a property. I contacted Charles David via Facebook and email to just be totally ignored. My friend contacted them also as we found property’s under their name that we wanted to view. We tried with this company about 4 times via phone, email or Facebook and every time we were fobbed off with an excuse, we never ended up viewing properties from them as was told they would be in touch and we never heard. I would like to say this is probably down to the pandemic but we also tried with them a couple of years before hand and was literally given the same treatment. They are very good at making you feel your taking up their valuable time and that you are inconvenient. They obviously don’t have the time for renters so don’t know what they would be like if you were buying a property. Really disappointed both times and would now not even consider contacting them if we were looking again, we would be wasting our time.

ABSOLUTELY NO! The worse experience I have ever had renting in my whole life. AND I am a landlord myself! Disaster experience!

If i could leave no stars i would, been renting a property from here for a month now, after viewing we was told that the property would be redecorated and professionally cleaned, which it was not! Also one of our bedroom windows is broken and causing the whole property to be freezing cold, forcing us to sleep in the front room to keep heat in. To this day its still not fixed! Then our goto person at this shambles of an agencie asks for a good review.. What an absolute joke!

Dear Jake, Thank you for your comments. Just to clarify the property you are talking about you do not have a tenancy at, rather it is your girlfriends property. The window issue you are discussing is down to the block management company which is often the case in blocks of flats. We do understand how frustrating this is for your girlfriend and we do have emails from her confirming she is happy with the way our team are dealing with this issue so we were surprised to see this review from someone who doesn't have any tenancy with us. The matter is in hand and our team will continue to apply pressure to the block management company to have this issue resolved. We will continue to update your girlfriend directly as she is the only person with a tenancy at the property.

Terrible experience so much so I am now in contact with ombudsman. Landlords be weary.

Dear Cormac, Further to our extensive communications and my advice to refer this to the ombudsman I am truly sorry to hear you feel this way. As I have previously stated this is a tenant that Charles David Casson did not place and was in the property when we took it over after the letting agent you chose went out of business. We identified that they were not an appropriate tenant during our property inspections and then took the necessary action to remove them from the property and managed to negotiate that your deposit was returned in full. We also then found a new appropriate tenant for you which you declined. We are here to help and I believe we have done the best we can for you under the circumstances. I am sorry you feel this way and I do think the best thing is to refer the matter to the ombudsman so they can review our evidence. We will be more than happy to continue to assist you with anything we can and I wish you all the best for the future.

Poor experience, booked viewing for Saturday, explained time constraints they tried to re arrange to suit their needs, when they knew the constraints I had so not surprised when Friday evening they cancelled viewings, no apology and always had to chase to speak to someone.

Unfortunately with the nature of our business and having to liase between property owners, buyers and tenants, sometimes viewings do need to be rearranged and sometimes properties are sold or let and further viewings have to be cancelled, inevitably leaving some people disappointed. We appreciate this can be frustrating and we do everything we can to minimise these inconveniences. Please accept our apologies for your inconvenience.

Terrible with regards to letting my property. No checks of property done. No notice of tenants leaving date. (Tenant gave them 1 months notice). No one available to speak on phone every excuss given! Not impreseed with service at all. Now left with vacant property.

Hi Jackie, we are sorry to hear that you were unsatisfied with our service on this occassion. As explained to you and your partner on the phone your tenant did not give any notice to our office and has not been able to prove he gave any notice to us. Unfortunately he left on the last day of his tenancy which is something that very rarely happens but is allowed. We acknowledge that the tenancy was logged on our system as 12 months when in fact it was a 6 month tenancy and therefore our usual renewal process was not followed and we have apologised for this. However until the tenant phoned to inform us he had vacated the property we were not to know he was doing this and he did not give any notice. We spoke to you and your partner numerous times and explained this and remarketed the property immediately but you chose to remove the property from the market with us. We wish you all the best with the property in the future. We have made learning points from this and once again we apologise the renewal process was not followed as usual. However please do be aware that there was nothing we could do to stop the tenant leaving on the last day of their tenancy as this is legally allowed and whilst this is very rare it could happen again in the future.

Awful company to deal with. Gave back a non refundable deposit. Would not take down advert on rightmove when they have no right to advertise my property. Steer well clear of them.

Dealt with Alex and made an above asking price offer and sent a my mortgage in principal to him was assured it would take 24 hours to get back to me, that was on a Thursday......... fri, sat , Monday and still no word from Alex. Which I was upset about as I had told about my sons motorbike accident and the fact his paralysed now and I need a house close to my work to be able to take care of him......Monday I rung 3 times only to be spoken quiet abruptly to be a female who kept telling me i was ringing the “ Letting number “ and couldn’t slam the phone down quick enough. Even though it’s the only number . Alex was suppose to be in the office again at 1 so by 3.30 I again called and hey presto Alex. Which I was hoping was no news was good new but only to be told he had just got off the phone with the sellers and they had excepted the other offer as they had upped the price over the weekend but when I had spoken to Alex at the weekend he didn’t mention non of this as I would have upped my offer too. I asked why he had not given me the opportunity to increase my offer rather than just shoot me out of the water, again a lot pathetic chat about nothing ( basically telling me lies ). When I asked to speak to the manager Alex said he was busy on the phone yet when I said I’d wait he the turned round and said he went into the office and he wasn’t there. Cannot believe how such a bunch of people can carry on like this- 100% un-professional, no communication skills, they have failed to even give a proper, fair service to all customers. I would never be wasting my time with them again as they seem very selective in the sales. Personally I would warn all to go else where as talking to others this estate agents is not great for reliability anyway, GOOD LUCK
