I solemnly and earnestly urge anyone considering renting with Charles David Casson agency to completely avoid. It was winter months, and within just the second week of renting. There was (No Heating), (No Hot Water), (No Communal Cleaner), even though all was officially declared in the contract. I called and emailed the agency as a matter of urgency due to the ice cold winter, the response was extremely slow and unbothered, they replied weeks later “we will sort it out”. A month went on and they didn’t. Still winter, Again I called and emailed, Another agent told me that my property manager had been “fired from the agency due to complaints”, didn’t surprise me in the slightest, so I told the new agent the problems with the property. After two additional months went on, an agent came and topped up the property meter, this agent said to me “the tenants had used to much heating why everything ran out”. I had never heard such nonsense in my life, it was winter and heating is a necessity. I also mentioned the cleaning, she said: “they are finding a new cleaner”. It didn’t sound sincere, it sounded like an excuse. Not to mention I also heard shuffling, like something living in the attic, I asked the another tenant who confirmed it was indeed what I thought, (RATS) living in the attic. This tenant told me that he also complained about the same issues but the agency did nothing. To cut a long story short, the property was utterly filthy and unhygienic, I’ve never seen anything like it, the same reoccurring issues happened many months after this and Casson was unbothered to fix them, they thought I was a fool, they thought wrong. So this time I called the council who came promptly to inspect the property. They found out the boiler had issues, hence no heating, no hot water. The second business director who was notified by the council was also at the property, he was simply unqualified, Unintelligent and lacking in every quality to run an agency. He tried his best to be condescending with me by making it out as if the issues were in my head, fortunately the council was there and could see the Issues, I put him in his place with words of wisdom and he went as silent as a mouse, which made me laugh Inside my head. I knew it wouldn’t be long before I left. God is great.

The communication is so bad numerous of emails and whatsapp msgs ignored
In the summer contacted them 3 times to view a house for sale down Greenways, didn’t ring back to any of the messages left (messages left with a member of team but they inform you someone from sales will be in touch). The specific house went off Rightmove. Then got re-added in early autumn. Called twice and went to their office - all these times was the same response someone from sales will get back to you. When we went to their office and spoke to them, they said the same thing, no phone calls received to any of these responses. So all in all don’t expect them to respond to any queries. We were really keen on the house and could have offered asking price. When asked if we would consider using them as our estate agent - what do you think the answer was, no!!!
I had the worse experience. I had only chance to buy a property before my maternity and they wasted my time by lies that all the process is going through and actually they put back the property into the market to sell it in a higher price. They lied to me, to my mortgage adviser and to my lender. At the end they cleaned their hands that the vendor changed his mind. But the problem is they never told us that. I think they wanted to keep me in pocket in case no other buyers come for higher price. I lost my chance of my life losing 3 months with them until we find property, have an offer, and then we start the process. I had also concerns with lack of communication, not true promises and reassurances and also private personal information which is leaked to them from their mortgage adviser which I never gave my consent to be shared to them. I feel totally crushed.
Absolutely appallingly company. You get a free probate valuation for solicitors to do probate and then they non stop call you. 6 months on I am still being hounded by calls! Nothing like letting a family morn the loss of their father. Badgering to sell the family home is much more important to this company! AVOID for valuations.
I have been trying to get details on a property that has a for sale board outside for a while but its not on their website....i have a online chat and they couldnt find it either....
AVOID this business. No customer service. Ignored all correspondence. I bet they won't take 4 months to reply to this negative review however.
