Slightly frustrating, we found a lovely flat on your website, which suited our needs as it had a large living/dining area. Took time out of our day to come and view the property only to be shown a completley different flat? Considering the advert boasted about the size of the living area a heads up that were were viewing a flat with no living room would have been appreciated as we wouldnt have wasted our time or yours. To say that the website just hasnt been updated is not very professional - what would have been professional is a phonecall to explain this before hand.
A few months ago I tried to book a viewing for a property that was available to let. They were doing online viewings but not physical ones. I wasn't happy with this as other companies were doing physical viewings with covid safety precautions in place. I think it's a lot to expect people to pay a lot of money upfront for a property they can't physically see unless you become a tenant. That's a big risk to take. Also when I tried to arrange a viewing they would only do a virtual viewing over FaceTime or WhatsApp. I have neither. They also were not flexible with my work times when I tried to arrange a virtual viewing. Eventually someone in my household had to do the viewing for me. But even via video call I could see all sorts of problems with the property. They need to be more flexible with people who don't have social media and/or access to a smartphone. They also need to be more flexible with people's work schedules and commitments. Very disappointing.NegativeQuality
Really poor, unprofessional staff that get sarcastic over phone calls and email, I reported issues with the property in November and nothing got done until now (still not finished) and that's only because I got environmental health involved and they have made them do the work otherwise I would still be waiting!! Wanted to come into my property to do an electrical check smack bang in the middle of lockdown and my wife was pregnant at the time, we of course refused access and tried to get them to come at a later date, they didn't like that so when I was at work one day someone decided to let themselves into my property with a key while my wife and son was upstairs and preceeded to do the electric check anyway nearly scared them half to death, when asked where they got the key from and who gave them permission to let themselves in they replied Belvoir!!! Then when we tried to move because we had had enough of them not doing the repairs they stopped us moving by giving us a bad tenant reference to the new landlord/Estate agent!! Honestly avoid these like the plague find another estate agent, very unprofessional and horrible to deal with!! however I have since had someone new that has started to deal with our case and he seems to be getting things done and is very professional so maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel. UPDATE: still nothing has been done about the leaks in our property there has been some communication but nothing appears to be getting done still, they have sorted the small minor things that cost batley anything to repair but the main issue with is the leak from the roof when it rains still hasn't been done!! I have got environmental health back involved again now and they are taking Belvoir to court to make them/landlord complete the repairs by a court order!!! You know its bad when the only way the work gets done is because they have been ordered by a judge to do it!!! Stay well away from this estate agents and S.E.P properties aswell!!!
I rented through Belvoir/Goodchilds for almost 9 years, and as I have now bought the property I was renting I am so glad to be free of them! I had a terrible experience with them, and the service and responses I received from them during this period (2012-2021) was extremely poor! There isn't enough space here for me to post my full review so you can understand what I experienced, so please check it out in full on the Allagents website, under Belvoir Wolverhampton. I was a good tenant for almost 9 years. I never missed any rent or bill payment. I looked after the property as best I could and the property received no refurbishment in that time. I estimate I paid about £50,000 in rent. Belvoir’s customer service and the way they treated me as a tenant was appalling. The majority of their team have no customer service skills, and their lack of knowledge is also worrying. Their poor response times coupled with inept replies only make for a terrible and very stressful experience. They will never apologise for their errors, and they will never support you when it’s clear there is a problem the Landlord needs to resolve. Please see attached images of the bathroom, from 1976 that I was promised would be refurbished (and read the full review on Allagents) before being told the bathroom was fine and if I wasn't happy I could vacate the property. The bath was only 3/4 size, there was an issue when the hot water tap ran creating a loud noise, meaning you couldn't run a bath (no proper shower either) and they even left me without a flushing toilet because the cistern parts were so old. I was even accused of breaking it at one point. All they are interested in is keeping the Landlord happy. I honestly don’t know how they get away with it. I genuinely feel sorry for people who have no choice but to rent through them, like I did. I am just so glad that I was able to buy and no longer have any ties with Belvoir.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
