Deborah, James and the whole team at Maddisons offer a superlative and very personal, yet totally professional service. They sold two very different properties for us last year and they also handle the letting of a rental property for our son. We cannot recommend them highly enough. The main thing I would say about Maddisons Residential is they are different. Many estate agents claim to be, but really are not. We were tired of the lazy disinterest we had experienced elsewhere and decided to try Maddisons, as their fees were the same and they seemed to be well respected. Their valuation of our house included telling us what was wrong with it - all of the stuff we knew, but a few things we had never considered. The other agents just told us how great the place was and how they would be delighted to ‘help’ us. We instructed Maddison’s and followed their advice about ‘staging’ our property, which cost zero (other than a bit of effort) and they arranged a contractor to come and paint our kitchen cupboard doors, which transformed the hub of our house for almost nothing. In the end we achieved a price I thought was unattainable, the highest price ever achieved in the road, and subsequent sales of very similar houses in the road prove that we did very well indeed. This is verifiable fact (Zoopla etc) in case you are like me, and think most positive reviews are written by people’s mates. If you want an agent that is determined to do whatever it takes to get your house sold, and is more concerned about finding solutions than excuses, give them a call.
