Very disappointed
Very mixed bag with Tom. He was very pleasant and helpful when he was signing me up for a tenancy, which I paid in full, but the after care was quite poor. Pre-agreed terms were not met until I pushed for them to be met, and coming towards the end of the tenancy, he seems to be attempting to label enforcement of legally binding terms as "aggressive and childish" and called me a "knob". Definitely a buyer beware situation.
A really good piece of software but the company lacks integrity and honesty. We've been using the platform for over a year and trusted the core principle of the review system - where only legitimate reviews are accepted. Unfortunately despite providing evidence of malicious reviews Feefo refused to remove erroneous feedback until we expressed our desire to leave the platform. Suddenly the reviews were taken down... We were then later told, our company had entered into a rolling yearly contract, which was hidden within the t's and c's and not expressed during the cold call sales pitch. So be warned, set a reminder for the yearly renewal, or you'll be out of pocket by thousands of pounds.
Can't get through on the phone
It is very unfortunate I have to give a bad review after a good moving in process. I moved in to a house with jo in January she was very accommodating and very easy to speak to. everything was sorted very quickly with no problems at all and she was very professional. Moving out however has been an absolute nightmare. I began speaking to the agents middle of July to get my deposit back at the end of the month when I moved out. (with the landlords permission and approval). They will just not give my money back, even though I was promised my deposit returned at the start of the month they have promised 4 dates that they will give it back to me and have not done it every time and not even called to let me know. every time I call them up they make an excuse and promise a new date and fail to deliver every time. we are now on the 19th of august and they still have not returned my deposit. its a shame that the standard they give to moving in isn't the same as the aftercare or when you leave the deposit. I am gutted as the team I dealt with at the start where so good. I have been waiting for my money for a month now and especially in this time where money is tight is not fair on the customer at all.
Poor experience. Buyers count too! You need to be a little wary about misrepresentation when a property marketed as 'chain free - vendor going into rented' suddenly changes into 'they have changed their mind & now need to find a property' as you provide proof of funds after having an offer (above asking) accepted. I hope this isn't a common scenario but post my review in case others are experiencing similar. The agent apologised nicely explained they can only act on the instruction of their 'clients' but as a potential buyer I certainly feel like a customer funding the operation so I expect a better service experience than this.
Seriously don't! They are great until you sign the papers. You can see my 5 star review from December. Still no completion just a 3 property change where all parties agreed everything 6 months ago. A lot of people warned me about Miles and Barr, I didn't listen as they presented very well in the beginning. At this point I don't have any energy to explain in detail how ignorant they have been throughout. Don't take my word, just ask a couple of people who had some experience with them. But listen just don't!
They do not do ANY financing in Canada. I do not understand why they have a Canadian division. Maybe a front to show that they are "global"
