We have tried calling 20 times, emailing through Right Move and the online chat. Nobody seems to respond to us. We want to see a property they have to sell.
Viewed a flat that had been empty for months, and took it as we were desperate and it seemed ok. They left it until a few days before our move in date to actually complete the paperwork which caused insane amounts of stress - all while being told ‘other people are moving in before you so we’re prioritising them’. We moved in and it was disgusting. Dirty, carpet is covered in stains and dirt, oven was covered in fat, there was poo and blood on the walls in the bathroom, window was broken and the boiler didn’t work? We were just told that it was professionally cleaned and that’s that. The place was disgusting. My partners autistic and has spent the last month scrubbing and cleaning it to a relatively ok standard. We’ve emailed and reported everything to be met with rude agents and contractors that turn up and do have a job and leave. It’s December and we don’t have a boiler. I don’t know what to do, I’m being made to feel like I’m unreasonable and rude for asking for things to be fixed? There is literally a towel rack in the bathroom that is being held on by 2 out of 4 screws and that was like that before we moved in? Every time I’ve asked for it to be fixed they’re ’prioritising other jobs’. Sick of it. Don’t go with this company. Dread having to communicate with them
Disappointed with the amount of money is been taken from the deposit as Northwood has not taking in consideration how the property was at the beginning of the tenancy and how we have take care of, they were unable to tell us about the parking situation (they suggested to park on the visitors place) and finally we discovered that the landlord was letting the property with a garage that we were unable to use for 4 years (We have been there 5 years and paying for it). Not wanting to go to trial as tired to argue with the letting agency and the landlord, but we will NOT recommend this agency. Thank you.

Awful company with no consideration to other neighbours and do not call back , we had to call again for updates. Avoid these as very un professional and rude. You would be better using a national company than this cheap outfit who do not care or reply.
SUBCONTRACTS TO UNETHICAL TRADESMEN AND HAVE BROKEN DATA PROTECTION LAWS - DO NOT USE I ended contracts with multiple properties after repeated incidences of Northwood Plymouth using contractors that would quote astronomical amounts for work needed that my own contractors have deemed to be ficticious on multiple occasions. Had I paid for work recommended by Northwood's selected contractors I would be thousands of pounds down for work that wasn't needed. Northwood refused to reimburse me for work I had to pay for to correct the damage and tampering from their highly quoting contractors who were trying to secure business for said ficticious work. Northwood are currently breaching crucial rule in the contracts of both landlords and tenants by sharing mobile numbers and email adresses in both directions through their 'fixflo' service. If you are with northwood - log on and look for yourself. My tenant who is not allowed to contact me directly found my details by logging on. I have all of my tenants details from emails directly from Northwood I have now discovered. My current tenant who was only notified she is being evicted on 20th December very recently (with two under three year olds) despite me giving an additional 3 months notice to the agency, has been contacting me directly and daily using my leaked information. She is pleading to stay and Northwood have showed as much compassion as to advise her to stop 'harrassing me' (with the details they provided) and advised me to 'block her'. What poor ethics despite the breach in contracts to both parties. This company has tried to rip me off as a landlord and been nothing short of cruel to the tenant. Yet to receive an apology for breaking GDPR regulations. Getting some 'annual leave' email returns despite having had emails from these employees today. Would never recommend to a tenant or landlord, disgraceful customer service in a business sector that impacts heavily on people's lives and livelihood.
Very awful and unprofessional experience that happened to my niece and her boyfriend. Both are working professionals and expressed their interest in one of the houses that were advertised on Northwood website. The agent who dealt with them is named Amy. She was being really patronising on the phone to my niece when all she did was to trying to get hold of more information before committing themselves in renting a house. Amy also promised to ring my niece back as soon as all the viewings are done and dusted. Little did she know, she would not be expecting any phone calls, but thank god they have now found a nicer house which is 1000 times better than the one they viewed !
Booked a viewing of a property but no-one from the agents turned up. Called and waited 45 minutes at property but got no call back and no-one turned up despite person at agency saying she'd alerted all the agents. No call today and when I called them there was allegedly no record of my viewing and I cannot now view the property as the person that saw it just before me made an offer this morning and its been taken off the market! Suspect one of the staff had a vested interest in buying this property and wanted to prevent anyone else from viewing it and making an offer. Not professional and I'm not impressed!
