Worst customer service ever! DO NOT USE! We spent time reviewing many properties for a long term family home. We found a property with Northwood and paid £360 that day to start the process explaining at the time we have to hand a months notice. A day later they sent us an email attempting to pressure us into moving in earlier explaining if we could not they would not be able to hold the property as 'it was not in the best interest of the landlord' despite us explaining with have to give the normal notice time for where we are now. We contacted the office to find out what was going on and after explaining that we wouldn't be interested based on the new terms they back tracked and said the email was a 'form of negotiation' etc etc. No apology, nothing but a reluctant agreement that they should return the money. If at the point the customers are paying you money you treat them this poorly then how are they supposed to believe that in the event there is some issue with the property they we be able to seek help. Impossible to speak to the same person, unprofessional, bad company processes (one form has to be sent by email, printed out by the customer, filled out, scanned and sent back) an electronic and hardcopy process for one 2page document?! Believe me no one is going to steal your word created form that could be emulated in 20mins, take the password encryption off and make it easier for customers maybe? All in all the WORST company I've worked with in any sector of business in all my life. Good luck for the future. REPLY TO ANDREW: I understand this perspective however a professional approach to perspective clients is a constant in any business. The situation of your landlord doesn't excuse the manner in which we were dealt with. Simply getting someone in faster doesn't mean they are the right tenant, surely someone without a time demand, who follows the needed processes with his current property and makes a considered and full decision on moving into a property for the long term is a better decision than rushing someone in. Finally to add, we would have been in a position to take the property on concurrently and would have been willing to given our level of interest but the manner in which it was dealt with was worrying to us this early into a long term situation in which we would have been entering. Perhaps in future it may be worth rephrasing or calling the customer to ensure a professional service remains. Bad news is part of life but a paying customer expects to be treated with a minimum standard. Looking at ALL of your reviews this is clearly something you're company is not concerned with and where eventually internet reviews will grow and eventually shrink your business unless you undertake great reforms.
