Hi Daniel, Thank you for your review. We are sorry you feel this way about your tenancy with Northwood. After careful review of these comments I can confirm another member who was on your tenancy agreement has infact moved into another property through Northwood. I can also confirm we are in direct contact with you regarding your deposit dispute. May I take this opportunity to wish you well in your new property.

Not a helpful letting agent at all. To be quite honest they are quite discriminate against certain types of tenants and provide a rude service.

Dear Ms Cooper, I am sorry to hear that you feel that you have not received a good service from us. I take great pride in my company and my team and we always try to provide an excellent service. I am not clear on your specific circumstances, however as professional estate agents we always act in the best interests of our clients who are landlords. We have to ensure therefore that potential tenants meet certain requirements in order to apply to let a property that we manage. I would be happy to discuss this with you further if you wish on 01752 674404. Yours sincerely, Andrew Chapman. Branch Director, Northwood Estate Agents Plymouth.

Disgusting letting agent I would never use then again I would rather be homeless, I get evicted 3months after I pay 6months in advance for no reason at all!! Stay away!

Dear Mr Middleton, I am sorry that you feel that you have not been treated fairly. I am afraid that we have served you the correct legal notice to vacate the property as the property is being handed back to the owner, therefore we do not have any choice but to serve you notice. I understand that moving home is stressful but we have no option as the owner requires the property back.

Do not use! Awful experience, worst ever! Minimum service, no maintenance, house falling apart. Not helpful on the phone, charging for many unexpected extras hidden in the contract, retaining money from the deposit (206£) with the false accusation that the house needed cleaning: the house was disgusting when we moved in and literally shining when we left. These people should be stopped from doing their business!

Dear Mr Ciancimino, Thank you for your recent review, I am disappointed to hear that you have not been satisfied with the service provided by Northwood. I have looked into the details of your review and can confirm that maintenance issues reported by yourselves were always actioned promptly however on many occasions we did not receive responses from yourselves in relation to access. In line with current legislation, if we are intending on entering the property for maintenance issues and we do not receive responses from tenants, we have to provide them with certain notice before we allow a contractor enter with a key, which was the case on many maintenance issues reported throughout your tenancy. In relation to your deposit, a qualified third party who is not a member of Northwood visits the property to conduct the final inspection. This is carried out by comparing the signed in-going inventory against the condition of the property at he time of vacation. A report is then produced and sent to Northwood who then instruct contractors to attend the property to quote/carry out work; deductions are then made by Northwood accordingly. As you have been informed by employees of Northwood, if you do not agree to the deductions from your deposit, you must agree to send the deposit into a dispute through the Deposit Protection Service where an adjudicator makes an un-biased decision based on the facts provided. Yours sincerely, Ashleigh Evans Current Business Manager

Worst customer service ever! DO NOT USE! We spent time reviewing many properties for a long term family home. We found a property with Northwood and paid £360 that day to start the process explaining at the time we have to hand a months notice. A day later they sent us an email attempting to pressure us into moving in earlier explaining if we could not they would not be able to hold the property as 'it was not in the best interest of the landlord' despite us explaining with have to give the normal notice time for where we are now. We contacted the office to find out what was going on and after explaining that we wouldn't be interested based on the new terms they back tracked and said the email was a 'form of negotiation' etc etc. No apology, nothing but a reluctant agreement that they should return the money. If at the point the customers are paying you money you treat them this poorly then how are they supposed to believe that in the event there is some issue with the property they we be able to seek help. Impossible to speak to the same person, unprofessional, bad company processes (one form has to be sent by email, printed out by the customer, filled out, scanned and sent back) an electronic and hardcopy process for one 2page document?! Believe me no one is going to steal your word created form that could be emulated in 20mins, take the password encryption off and make it easier for customers maybe? All in all the WORST company I've worked with in any sector of business in all my life. Good luck for the future. REPLY TO ANDREW: I understand this perspective however a professional approach to perspective clients is a constant in any business. The situation of your landlord doesn't excuse the manner in which we were dealt with. Simply getting someone in faster doesn't mean they are the right tenant, surely someone without a time demand, who follows the needed processes with his current property and makes a considered and full decision on moving into a property for the long term is a better decision than rushing someone in. Finally to add, we would have been in a position to take the property on concurrently and would have been willing to given our level of interest but the manner in which it was dealt with was worrying to us this early into a long term situation in which we would have been entering. Perhaps in future it may be worth rephrasing or calling the customer to ensure a professional service remains. Bad news is part of life but a paying customer expects to be treated with a minimum standard. Looking at ALL of your reviews this is clearly something you're company is not concerned with and where eventually internet reviews will grow and eventually shrink your business unless you undertake great reforms. Regards Mr Stanton

Dear Ms Hajbi, I am sorry that you feel you have not received a good service. With reference to your tenancy application we have to work in the best interests of our client who is the owner of the property and as such our client wanted to secure a sooner move in date. As soon as you confirmed that you were not happy with this date your reference fee was refunded in full. May I wish you well in finding a suitable home soon. Yours sincerely, Andrew Chapman, Director.

Awful company. Didnt bother looking after our property. Didn't bother doing their job. Horrible customer service. Getting solicitor involved to claim back money that we paid. They blame everyone else for their poor service. DO NOT use this company!!!!!! - Thanks for your response, its a pity you didn't respond beforehand at the time, I have since been inform by a member of your staff (or at least a recent member) that your branch regularly breaks the law by failing to put the tenants deposit in a tenancy deposit scheme. I have got in contact with you head office and the property ombudsman and will soon be hearing from them both with aims of making sure that your branch is fully investigated and that myself all other customers are reimbursed moneys that you have stolen from them. BTW I'm the partner of one of your customers hence why you couldn't find me on your system.
