Personable and responsive

I have used Martyn Gerrard's services (tenants finders and managing agent for my property) for a few years and enjoy the professionalism of the tenants finders team. They are quick to respond and courteous but also you feel they respect you as a client and know how to nurture that relationship. One area the company could improve on however is joining up their services, between tenants finders team and property management team. They do not always come across as one single company which can cause some duplication and miscommunication.

Attentive and efficient service

I found the service I received was very good. The agent was very attentive and efficient ! He responded to my requests very quickly and ensured everything was dealt with efficiently and as smoothly as possible

Amateur service, need handholding through the process

I appointed Martyn Gerrard to sell my property as initially they seemed very professional but upon instructing them the service was extremely poor. I experienced many issues such as: not being able to do viewings and either just not doing them and missing the selling opportunity or asking me to do them instead, forgetting I had an alarm, incorrect particulars, booking viewings for the wrong house, surprisingly limited knowledge of the local area. In addition Martyn Gerrard provide you the email of the owner for if you experience issues. I emailed him and my email just got forwarded to my contact at Martyn Gerrard so it seems that providing you with the owners details is just marketing.

Terrible, dreadful, avoid it if you can

Terrible customer service - they treat you like an idiot. They aren't returning deposits on time, ignore your emails, phone calls, lie into your face. The only thing they were trained good enough for is to say "our apologies" and "we are so sorry" and "some one will definitely get in touch with you tomorrow". And then you wait, and wait, and chase and wait... We dealt with several letting agencies before, but this one is just worst of the worst. I do not ever write reviews, but they just made me mad. You have broken washing machine? They don't care. You have leaking roof? They don;t care. you have mould all around the house? they don't care. What do you, MG, care about at all?

Dreadful untrustworthy estate agents. DO NOT use these agents. I was buying a house through them they lied and said it was off the market. I went ahead with purchase paying for survey and all the usual other stuff and all the while they sold it behind my back WITHOUT telling me. Only to find out it was because they had a higher offer. Making me waste time and money and emotional investment as i loved that house. They allowed me to continue wasting time and money without the courtesy of informing me they had sold it behind my back! This goes on too often with them and their reputation is reknowned for this behaviour.
