Ah. We went to view a property. We met the agent on time. The agent didn't have a key to fit the property or any other way to access the property. We left. Oh dear. 24hr later we got a call, an apology and arranged to view the property again. We got access this time but the agent had to leave within 15mins to show another property on the 'other side of town'. Oh dear again. We left on our own. Enough said.
Went to view a property, two hour round trip, just to discover the has terrible damp! No mention of it at all on the listing. The floor had collapsed in the back room.The estate agent was very polite and helpful. Which is why I gave them two stars not one.
Never answer emails, or messages
My interaction with the estate agent was a couple of years ago now and on face value Paul Hubbard rental team seemed very happy to help and couldn't do anything more for you. We (my family) had a few issues with the property we were in and reported these to them and some of the smaller issues were felt with within a timeframe I would have expected, however just one of the larger issues was whenever it rained water came into the property in several places and this turned into black mold. This was reported on more than one occasion and various "specialists " came and had a look and agreed that there was water seepage. I am disabled and a couple of my conditions is breathing and both knees need surgery, because of this my bedroom was in the front lounge (where the worst seepage was, but I had gotten to the point where I could no longer do stairs). Apparently this was not what the room was made for so therefore it was apparently my fault. We were on emergency rehoming list and after we moved out we were expected to pay for the mold (that had ruined 90% of my furniture that I had to replace) and they kept all our deposit and asked for more. We will never recommend Paul Hubbard to anyone.
Over the course of five days I’ve emailed, called, visited the shop, contacted via website and also right move and Zoopla. No one enquiry has been responded to. I would think twice about this company managing your property. I’ve counted 26 attempts at contact via one medium or another and not one reply!!
A new manager named Dawn has recently taken over. She is very rude. Very unprofessional. And doesn't care in the slightest regarding tenant's have problems with a certain tenant ripping off the gate after it was put up for security. leaving the front communal door unlocked. And making noise between midnight and early hours constantly. Dawn said it's only my word. Even after sending emails along with photo's for evidence. How Dawn reacts and what she say's over the phone (when she talks over you) is quite disturbing. Don't waste your time renting from this letting agency. I've had problems since moving in back in may 2023.
