BEWARE OF LEE THE THIEF THEY HIRED. I once was a tennat at one of there melting point apartments. During Covid one of there employees who was overseeing my flat whilst i was at my parents home during lockdown they decided to terminate my contract and stole everything from my flat roughly £4500 worth of clothes, electronics and furniture. I was never reimbursed and i made a claim with the citizen advise bureau unfortunatly because the amount was not above 10,000 i never managed to get the right lawyers for me to get my items back from these thiefs. I would not consider them at all be very careful. The kicked me when the world was already on its knees no remorse what so ever. Fornutatly for me i believe in God and you will pay for all the skeletons you have in your closet. They prey on whealthy foreign students for there money i suggest you go somewhere else.
struggling in getting back the deposit. the first picture shows their claims that means they want to charge me for those things which were not our faults. the second picture shows my email that I sent to them on 11/12/2020 (the day we arrived to the house and mentioned the property issues attaching some photos to that). they did not fix them but now they want to charge us because of them!!! I suggest to every tenant that taking photos of the property's issues as soon as they arrived to it. fortunately I did. Now, I am going to send my evidence to DPS.
Disappointed in this agency and its service. We arranged an appointment to view a property at Lindley park and when I met with the young man (Zac) he was very warm and polite , he made insinuating remarks about our home of origin but otherwise very friendly, when I asked for an application for the property on the phone with the office they confirmed details but never emailed me, called a second time and a completely different person said they already had submitted application for the property but would mention my name, this very informal approach was incredibly unprofessional, "mentioning my name " and not knowing who I was reeked of a dismissive attitude that pointed towards incompetence. Incredibly unfortunate.
If you are a landlord and thinking of letting your property use this estate agent, think twice. They DO NOT do any background checks on prospective tenants. I live in shared accommodation. One of the tenants does not lock the main door of the property and requests all tenants to do the same. This caused security and safety issues as anyone can enter the property, especially at night. Sent them an email but they didn't bother to reply. Will escalate this if they do not take a step. If anything is missing or any damage happened, insurance will not take responsibility so beware
Avoid this house letting agent! They don't return deposits and allow the landlord to intrude without notice. Terrible experience - find a better agent!
I recently had a disappointing experience with Martin & Co Huddersfield Lettings & Estate Agents that left me feeling frustrated. When it came time to move out of my rental property, the agency did not handle the security deposit refund properly. Additionally, during my tenancy, there were several instances where the landlord or maintenance workers entered the property without giving me advance notice. On multiple occasions, I came home to find repair staff doing unplanned work or even once finding the landlord checking on things. This was very unsettling, as I was not informed of these visits ahead of time. While I understand occasional urgent repairs may come up, it would have been respectful to notify me even just the same day if any visitors needed to enter when I was not home. The lack of communication here made me uncomfortable. While I understand mistakes happen, it would have been helpful for the agency staff to be more transparent about the timeline and status. I hope they will take this review as constructive feedback for improvement rather than a personal criticism.
Never choose this letting, they never pay your deposit back. They would ask for minimum 350£-400£ per room, and give you unacceptable excuses repaying your deposit. Very Unprofessional after the tendency is expired. Supporting the landlord and stealing our money for renovation of the house. If there was an option for 0 star, I ll give them instead of 1⭐️
Booked a half day off work and paid a train fair only for them to cancel a viewing 10 minutes before it was supposed to be happening. Bit unprofessional really.
Rude staff especially Leah need some customer service training I’ve contacted there head office also
I rang this company regarding a property spoke to a women called Lisa who was extremely rude They obviously pick and choose who they want in their properties Need lessons in people skills and will probably deny what's in my review
