Unfortunately I have been constantly misinformed about several queries I brought up when contacting Martin & Co. There seem to be lack of communication between employees so that there isn't a coherent response to a simple query. The process of ending my tenancy was not smooth and actually was very much stress inducing. EDIT: was contacted by Emma and she sorted my query immediately.

Watch how you deal with them because they can take money for a deposit make something up and keep it

Martin & Co Huddersfield do not have and have not had a client by the name of 'Brian Allen'. If you would care to contact us using your real name, we would be happy to discuss any concerns you have or issues you may have had. With relation to deposit refunds, all deposit deductions are processed via the 'Deposit Protection Service' where any deductions have to be justified. Martin & Co cannot, and do not, make 'something up and keep it' without evidence. However, we take the care and condition of properties seriously and would only make a claim from a tenants deposit where necessary. Thank you

Initially friendly, the staff were professional and listened to the problems. However it took too long to take action against problems. Before moving into the flat in wood Street studios I was promised that the chairs would be replaced, however they were not untill 4 months in with several emails and calls. A history of "long procedures" which cause great inconvenience.

Cost nearly £4k to move into a dirty flat, with a marked stained carpet and with "repo" stickers all over the sanitary ware. Fobbed off on basic repairs for over 12 months. Aggressive, nasty, greedy and bullying (was actually threatened by the landlord) and compared with London agents nowhere near as professional. Avoid.

Unfortunately Mr Lee’s comments are inaccurate. Mr Lee was provided with a fully functioning and clean modern apartment in a desireable development. Mr Lee was unable to pass our client referencing system and was required to pay 6 months in advance, hence the large amount at the start of the tenancy. Mr Lee subsequently fell into significant arrears which required legal action, the courts found Mr Lee to be at fault and have ordered him to pay the arrears owed.
