Wanted to rent property from Belvoir , moving from London area I wasn't taken seriously by the business owner. My viewing was changed 3 times in 24 hours and at the end I got message at 2am that my viewing was cancelled due to Covid-19. I was told to call at 10am .When I called the Manager was doing viewing with other people !!!? Im very disappointed as I was keept waiting for one week to do viewing and at the end I got cancelled for not obvious reasons. Maybe the reason was that I wasn't suitable because I want to move from London?!! I do not understand how people can do something like that and waste other people time !!
We rented a house through these agencies for about 4 years. When the boiler broke down, once in winter and again in summer, we had to wait almost two weeks for repairs. The boss, Chris, is very unpleasant and even chauvinistic towards women, and not only towards women. Only the ladies who work there are nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the agency also behaved badly when we moved out. The house looked better after 4 years than when we moved in. We repainted the entire house and cleaned the carpets with a special vacuum cleaner. We really put a lot of work and effort into moving out. However, the agency came up with ridiculous explanations and charged us exorbitant prices for replacing the filter in the hood, prints on the carpet from the furniture even though in fact the carpet should have been replaced by the owner a long time ago, and many other nonsense. As a result, we did not get the bond back, which was about £600. I do not recommend this agency mainly because of the boss who was impossible to even talk to because, as he claimed, he had no time for me even though I and my family had been a client for many years. I am only posting as this is the only way you appear to get a response as emails get ignored despite various attempts. I will not engage in unprofessional comments I merely want the return of my spare house keys and evidence of house inspection which should of been handed over a month ago. I have paid for this premium service in a timely fashion and expect you to fulfil your obligations and hand over in a professional manner. Also just to clarify the content you are posting is incorrect the bank account you reffer to is from the DPS which was given to me by them when following the correct proceedure. Also my house has always been to a high standard you commented on this yourself when handing over hence why the first viewers took the opportunity to take it. Although after the excessive amount of repairs I have paid for an lack of evidence of the 6 monthly inspection and hand over I am unsure of what the situation may be now. Please just have the professionalism to respond to my email requests and reutrn my keys and the documents requested to put and end to this matter.
Upon the initial onboarding process they was very prompt and efficient. After paying a considerable outlay and a higher than average management fee I thought this would be reflected in the service. After a series of issues and ongoing costs once I employed the services of my own trades people became disinterested and less responsive. Chris is a rude man whose attitude towards his customers is terrible the girls have a kind and helpful nature. I have since parted company with Belvoir's services due to the above and three weeks on I am still waiting for the keys to my property and evidence of the house inspection documents as agreed. I would be thankful if someone could attend to the above as it didn't take me three weeks to pay your fees and I would expect the same courtesy in return.
Chris Duffy the office manager is disgusting in the way he talks to people and refused to deal with an emergency where the property wasn't secure. This is the 3rd time Chris has been rude and unprofessional on the phone. The ladies in the office are very helpful and make this business.NegativeProfessionalism
Having to leave 1 star as I cannot leave anything lower! Absolutely terrible management when complained about a tenant - the tenant is causing criminal damage and Belvoir couldn't care less!
Belvoir lettings is a complete utter ripoff! They charged us £500 for rubbish removal which was in the garden before we moved in & Chris is an arrogant sexist stuck up piece of work who has on many occasions called me a liar and refused to speak to me I had to put my partner on the phone. I would recommend to AVOID this company.
Belvoir were dreadful from start to finish, we moved into the property to be greeted by severe damp and condensation issues, when we spoke to the agent CHRIS he assured us this would all be sorted out, having scrubbed the walls constantly for the last two and a half years and our children constantly breathing in the damp we decided to move out. To our amazement we have been told that not only are we not getting our bond back, we owe them money for redecorating and jet washing the drive. This company also took around four months to replace a blown down fence, despite us having small children and a dog. Please be wary of using this company.
