They did not offer us viewing opportunities and the only way to book an available apartment was without viewing. Not even a video was available. A bit disappointing service.NegativeProfessionalism

Unfortunately, the tenant was not permitting access but we were able to offer you an appointment once the tenant had left. They showed property to prospective tenants despite being told that time was not possible resulting in the agent showing me the bathroom when the current tenant was actually in the shower (I'd have called the police if this would have happened to me). Maintenance wasn't done at all or so poorly the issue needed attention again soon after. Property was noisy. Random men constantly walked through the property and came into the individual rooms (which surely is illegal when unannounced/not discussed). My room was left unlocked after they must've gone into my room in my absence. Slow to pay back deposit too. Was charged for useless video inventory. Record every bit of damage and wear and tear yourself when you move in and send them this documentation, otherwise they'll probably try to keep some of your deposit for damage that was there when you moved in. Long notice period if I remember well (2 months? Might also be illegal.). This was a few years ago but that's irrelevant if you are still running the same business.

Was in touch with this company trying to secure a student flat. Was told that if I paid up front I could apply for a flat that I was interested in. Kept asking if I could speak with someone on the phone through our email communication, was not acknowledged. Just told it was given to someone, after 15 emails and corresponding for over a week. They have other flats available and didn't seem interested in offering, waste of time when you're trying to find a flat in a short period of time - just rude to deal with overall.

Hi Caley, I'm sorry to hear that you felt you had a negative experience with our team at Belvoir Cambridge. I have investigated your complaints and reviewed our email chain with yourself. Unfortunately for some, property moves fast in Cambridge and it is our duty to present all applications/interest to the Landlord for consideration and it would seem that the landlord had chosen to go with somebody else. I can see that your emails were acknowledged and promptly replied to but our only failings were that we were not able to offer you an appointment slot on your preferred date and time and that we did not research an alternative property for you. We would like to point out that the viewing and application process is standard across the industry so even though you had shown interest and wished to secure the property, until payment and a formal application is put forward, our agents are not able to reserve a property for a potential tenant. We would like to issue a public apology for not offering you to view a alternative property and wish you all the best for the future.

Had appointment to view a property, turned up to my appointment which a took a day off for, and Belvoir didn’t show. Called belvoir to find out what was happening, lady said she’ll get someone to call me back as she didn’t know. Called Belvoir again as I didn’t get a call, spoke to David who said the appointment meant was cancelled by text message, which I never received. Appalling service and sheer waste of my time. Very unprofessional service. Belvoir should learn to value and to communicate with clients who are their bread and butter. If you need to cancel an appointment pick up the phone and speak to your prospective client. Do not use this company as service from Belvoir and David was extremely poor.

Belvoir as a letting Agency in Cambridge is not offering enough support and assistance to its tenants.

Avoid against. Company does not resolve tenants complaint which are raised in regards to property fixtures. In terms of getting your deposit back after you leave, there is a 80% chance they will charge you and keep some of the deposit no matter how good of a condition you leave the property in. Please avoid, it is not worth it keep looking you can find alternatives. The contract they make you sign loses any argument you can make later on since they have you sign a ridiculous document.NegativeProfessionalism, Value

Maintenance issues were never resolved or only for a week for things to break again. Have had to do without lights in dark rooms of the property, without a functioning laundry machine etc. Slow to return deposit. People coming into the property unannounced/without notice (which is illegal) and leaving the property unlocked. People coming into the property even late at night! The inventory they make you pay for was terribly incomplete as none of the damage and wear and tear was visible/noted. Because I know these kinds of organisations, I took it upon myself to inform them in detail of the current state of the property. If I had not gone through that trouble I know they would have tried to keep a big part of my deposit or even the whole deposit. Note that after I moved out after a fairly short tenancy, they increased the rent for the next person with 10% Not sure in what universe they live but my income doesn't get a 10% increase year on year. They will charge you if you need a reference from them for a future property with another agency.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
