Horrible! Lizzie was so rude and unhelpful. No help no support given. Lizzie even said a tenant should sleep in the couch until the next day.

Hi there, This is Lizzie. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. On the property reservation form which you signed on the 24th March 2020, it is made clear that the keys are collected from our office (opening hours stated) on or after your contract start date and a copy of your right to rent must be provided for us to witness in person. Following this, an email was sent out to all tenants on the 14th July 2020 with further instructions on moving in, to which it again stated keys are collected from our office (opening hours stated) on or after your contract start date and a copy of your right to rent must be provided for us to witness in person. You have then called this morning, the day you want to collect your keys, stating that you will be arriving at the property ‪at 4.30pm‬. I explained that as the property is not even a 10 minute drive away, this gives you enough time to attend our office before we close and once witnessed your right to rent we are happy to release the keys to you. Giving no reason for any one to sleep on the sofa. This was in fact a suggestion made by yourself, not me. If you had contacted prior to the day of your key collection stating you were having troubles attending our office we perhaps could have come up with an alternative solution to giving you the keys. However, as you have given us such short notice, I have advised that we do not have an agent free to meet you at the property and therefore asked if you can collect the keys from the office as every other tenant has to do. Viewing cancelled at very late notice, promised to ring back with a new appointment,never happened. I would of thought with the lack of properties on the market at the moment somebody would found time to contact us! Thankyou for getting back booking was under Emma Warden.,and yes it was this company the viewing was book through the property is in Gamston.

Hi Andrew, Can we please have the name this was booked under and the property address so we can investigate further. As your name has not come up in our system at all and it would of if a viewing had been booked. Are you certain it was with our company? If you could please advise. Extremely disappointed with this agency! Do not use them! At the end of August, just 3 weeks before uni started they send us an email saying that the house we had signed a contract for, paid for a month's rent as well as for documentation fees, is no longer available for us because it lacks a safety license?!?! This was a huge shock for me and my flatmates as we all live abroad during holidays, so we had to find a new accommodation not only last minute but also while overseas. This was one of the hardest and most stressful periods of my life!!! So when finally things settled and we were no longer HOMELESS, I walked pass the property we were supposed to live in but did not due to a safety license and guess what - THERE WERE PEOPLE LIVING THERE!!!! This showed Tristram's dishonesty, lack of moral and no care for their customers whatsoever. WORST AGENCY EVER, DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Hi Silvia, I completely understand your frustation following the situation that occured last summer. Unfortunately in this situation the landlord let us down, as much as he let you down. At no point from advertising the property all the way until withdrawing the property, did the Landlord make us aware that there was a chance his HMO license would be revoked. As soon as we found out, we did all we could to revert the situation and discussed with the landlord any alternative option that we could give. Unfortuantely with no other option available, we informed you straight away and helped looked for alternative properties for you to go into. As soon as the landlord pulled out we refunded everything you paid to you as soon as possible along with the compensation from the landlord. Following the events, we did cut all ties with this landlord, on all properties not just the one in question, as we didn't want to continue a business relationship with a party that could jepordise our reputation again. We thrive to deliver the best customer service we can, and unfortuantely this situation was out of our hands. We are unaware if the property has been reoccupied or not, however the landlord would be allowed to rent the property on a standard residential let, and not as a HMO which may be what he has chosen to do, however we can not confirm as we no longer market this landlords properties. On behalf of the agency, we hope you understand that we did not willingly or intentionlly let you down at such short notice. If we could have had it another way, we would. Me and my fiancee are planning to move in together. We both have pets so we're making sure the property will allow pets before applying. We found an interesting property on Tristrams but when we enquired about it we were shut down straight away because the landlord requires people over 40. I believe this was totally unfair and should've been listed on the website. I emailed my review of the service to tristrams and I did get a call back and the lady tried to explain that its not the companies requirement but the landlords. I think it's still unfair that people below 40 are discriminated against like this. While I understand its not the companies fault, they should've listed the requirements on the website. When I told the lady this over the phone she said its not a legal requirement. The reason for my review is so people are aware that the description of the properties Tristrams are letting aren't full or accurate because all other properties I've seen mention basic things such as if pets are allowed.
