Was very keen to view a property and had an appointment booked in on fulshaw road when my wife was called up by one of the rudest people she has ever come across to confirm the viewing. Took a week for the viewing and she patronised my wife on the phone that much she righfully cancelled the viewing on a property we were really interested in. Felt like an inconvenience when she said dont waste our time if you dont want to pay asking price were too busy (not even viewed the property so how could you assess how much you wanted to pay without seeing)!!! Sellers avoid!!!!
Sue Ward is a vile woman. Infact the whole family are. I dont know who she thinks she is. She is a disgusting patronising human with no compassion for people whatsoever. Working for minimum wage and thinking shes the queen. You didnt get you 3 thousand pounds though did you Sue. You little scammer. And never responded to my email. Hm. Enjoy hell
Its difficult determining where to begin with this lot. My experience with them has been awful. Its been 10 months since I reported a problem with the boiler causing cold showers with intermittent periods of scalding hot water. Its still not fixed. I reported exterior flashing that had fallen some time ago allowing wasps to nest behind it. Their reply? I have to pay to have the wasps exterminated before they'll repair the flashing. Still not fixed. They've tried to charge me for a vendor's service call simply because they couldn't figure out why the electrics weren't working properly - they figured it must be my fault. Still not fixed. I reported that water was leaking from an outside pipe connected to the boiler. Still not fixed. I reported a leak in an interior water pipe. Miraculously, its been fixed, but they'll likely do nothing about the ugly stain left on the dining room wall or look into potential mold remediation. Based on my experience, a better name for this agency is Northwouldn't.

Had to get housing standards involved after the damp and mould started damaging the property. These people care very little for tenants and treat people with a great lack of respect or common decency. If anyone else is being down trodden by Northwood I urge you to contact housing standards.
So rude and condescending. Tried to explain 3times that we had done our research and knew we would needed start dates before applying for a property and all we were looking to do was register and see properties so we knew what we could get and could strike as soon as we did get start dates but this woman went on and on and just ignored me. In the end i gave up wasting my breathe on such a patronising ignoramous. Suffice to say we will not be renting (or buying which is what we will be doing in 6-12months once we have decided on an area) with these people. Cannot believe how rude she was, came home and told family and they had a horrible experience with these as well. Don't waste your time!
Successful Property Ombudsman ruling against Northwood Preston. They acted in a terrible way towards me as a landlord who had been with them years and refused to pay not only rent due on their guaranteed scheme but also left my property full of rubbish. They then tried to fight to case when I bought it before the ombudsman. It is a shame that they were not just able to admit they were wrong and compensate me accordingly.
First of all, we had to get the police involved because the situation got so bad. I would literally give Northwood Preston 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not an option. This branch is operated by the Ward family and I can honestly say that they are the worst people I've ever had to deal with in my 28 years of being in Preston. Rebecca and Sue Ward are both condescending, rude, ignorant and vile human beings. They failed to sort out even the most simplest of matters regarding the house and took way more effort than necessary. In the end we fixed the leaky sink and replaced the locks on the doors at our own cost because nothing would have been done about it otherwise. During the moving out process, Sue and Rebecca became increasingly hostile and erratic, holding back mail and attempting to withdraw a positive reference to out new estate agent a day after they'd given it, lying and saying that we had a dog. The situation got so bad that we actually had to go to the police and file a report because of the mail opening, the withholding of mail.and the constant nuisance calling from Sue Ward telling us that 'the wardrobe needs replacing' despite them having agreed what was going to be deducted from the deposit 3 weeks prior. The Northwood Preston branch needs to be avoided at all costs. Even if they were selling/renting my dream house I would never deal with them again under any circumstances. They are persistent liars and incompetent beyond anything I've ever experienced before. On top of everything, you can't even make a complaint as the Director of the branch is one Peter Ward and any matters brought up fall on deaf ears as he's the owner of this particular franchise. Surely one branch can only operate like this for so long before collapsing under it's own wrongdoings.
