Very bad service, OZ was the person I dealt with over two weeks promised I could view a house, saying next week next, then said he tried to phone but I had no missed calls or voicemail. Now suddenly a offer was accepted. Didn’t even get a chance to view, may of gone higher than asking price!
Drove all the way from London to stevenage Once at Connels Estate Agents, they make you wait at the door and then pass you a business card to call in, once I called in a gent answered and said sorry Tricia is busy with customers, I questioned the manager and said how come as I can see her free, with no customers and not on the phone, they wanted my journey, lied about being busy and never replied to my emails .NegativeProfessionalism
The worse company Ive ever had to deal with. Very poor customer service, lack of response to either emails and phone calls, extremely unprofessional and extremely poor communication and the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Constantly getting arrear emails when we are not in arrears. Keep sending emails for them to amend this, get no response back. Have also phoned to get this sorted, and it's still not been sorted four months down the line. They take their time in getting repairs sorted out. Avoid at all costs as the arrear emails are still coming and am sick to death of this not being sorted. Have had to cancel contract as they did not put my property on a market for more than a month after signing contract. Agent was very unprofessional and allot of promises no action. A never ending list of great excuses for poor service and outdated sales pitches. We were very lucky to complete our move whilst selling with Connells, poor communication from Branch managers down, even when caught out on a lie it was covered with another. The saving grace were our solicitors and the estate agency's we purchased from who worked tirelessly chasing up and doing connells work for them. I could not recommend Alexander Lewis Estate Agents and Key Conveyancing enough and if we ever to sell again we will be going with them. Our experience with Connells highlights how company's like Purple Bricks exist as we are in no doubt that the service provided by Connells was little better and far more frustrating then handling the sale ourselves. Listening to sale pitches straight out of the 90's with cliche rich patter enough to make our dog want to vomit left us in little hope of a buyer let alone a decent offer, in the end we settled for lower offer from a landlord just to keep our dream of moving on track and to end the nightmare which was our contract with Connells Stevenage. So In conclusion if you are considering using Connells I would either stump up the slightly higher amount for decent estate agents like Alexander Lewis (my bad!!) Or save yourself a grand and all the poor service and Do it Yourself with Purple Bricks as they are no worse and alot cheaper.
