Been trying to view a commercial property for 2 months now and chancellors dont seem at all proactive No calls retuned, no emails even read.
I rent a flat via Chancellors and I have not seen people more UNPROFESSIONAL in my whole life. They only care about taking your money at the beginning of the process and making up ridiculous excuses to keep the money of your deposit at the end. NEVER AGAIN!
Two months into marketing my flat, and Chancellors have had only 2 people view it. They "don't know why" more people are not viewing. Is it just me or should Estate Agents not know how to market a property in their area? Isn't it their job to understand the market and offer advice or some kind of a plan to target suitable buyers? They are sadly lacking in the ability (or professionalism) to get back to you on any query or even keep you basically informed - apart from sending you a weekly generated email on viewing figures from Right Move. It took me from Tuesday last week until this morning (yes, a full week) to get any kind of feedback on someone who viewed my flat despite emails and phone calls and even going into the Ascot branch (and by the way all they told me this morning finally was they hadn't got in touch!!?). They didn't even offer me any feedback on what the person said or thought at the time of viewing...I have complained and asked to speak to the Area Manager as I am clearly very worried about Chancellors ability to manage the marketing of my property and sell it. I was told he'd have to call me vs the other way around, and so they wouldn't give me his number but that he'd call me this afternoon. ....And by now sadly expected, the Area Manager didn't bother to call me either!! I mean it is totally shocking! I have no faith, belief or credibility towards them whatsoever now.
I bought a flat from chancellors. Basically had no contact from them in the 5 months the property took to complete and my emails were ignored. When the property completed they didn't have the keys to the back door. This despite the fact they had used a key to show us outside during the viewing. Liars trying to cover up the fact they had lost keys. Would use a different more professional estate agents.
Property management side of the business is poor in my opinion . Inventory had to be updated and I listed health n safety issues we had . Took from September till now and still not sorted only when I've got very nearly abusive on the phone have things began to move in the form of an email to say the contractor has been given the go ahead . Didn't think much to the tone of the smart arsed lady's attitude, who will remain nameless, the on the other end of the phone either. I think they forget they represent the landlord as well as the tenant
Ok so you were keen on receiving a facebook review so here it is.... I think a week without heating in this house is absolutely appalling given it's the coldest November on record for 30 years... 5 people live in a house where we pay a decent amount of rent to you guys too, including a 4 year old with a very weak chest. I commend you for your quick actions last Friday in giving us 3 heaters (btw heaters use a lot on the electric and also they don't heat the whole house before you say anything as the heating does!!) but to have no resolution when in last Friday's & Tuesday's report the engineer stated it was the gas valve, so it's now a week without hot water / heating. My wife has been in tears this evening, so I want it fixed ASAP, again she took today off work as I did on Tuesday for which we won't be reimbursed... We aren't allowed to hold back rent but we are allowed (according to citizens advice) to use the rent money to fix the issue! Also you have an obligation to apply appropriate accommodation which as I've stated already that this isn't acceptable during the coldest November in 30 years!! There's 5 of us here so how do you expect 5 people to have luke warm (borderline cold) showers in this weather on top of that how do you expect us to get washing done etc I was keen not to put this on facebook but you forced my hand in taking longer than a week to get it fixed. This needs to be fixed tomorrow!!!!
Very poor service: Constantly lied to, ignored and disregarded. Nothing in comparison to other sales agents that I've used before. Would never use Chancellors again.
I rent through chancellors in Bracknell on a 3 year agreement which includes annual increases in line with RPI. This year, I received no letter or phone call to advise if/what the increase would be and given no notice on this increase whatsoever. I received a call saying that I was in arrears - Chancellors have advised that there is no obligation to tell me that my rent has increased, nor what percentage it has increased by. Apparently, Chancellors expect their tenants to research the RPI percentages each year and to use this percentage to calculate the increase based on the clauses in the rent agreement. I don't know if this is legal or not - but I do know that it is bad, unacceptable service to expect me to complete these calculations for them - a letter would have been nice but I guess their tenants aren't worth the paper.
There was only one person who helped me from the beginning to the end, she's very helpful and polite, Arabella from botley brunch. I only had one week to find a place to stay with my baby, and she made an afford to make sure that I get the house that I wanted to move in to. I'm very thankful for your help Arabella � ... Me and my baby we are settled now
