I have used Belvoir for over 4 years, I like the personal service, talking to someone who cares good customer service. They look regularly at your property and I feel that they get the best type of clients which as a landlord is very important
spacious apartment in the center of Harrogate for a person who appreciates comfort. Agency - nice friendly help.
I have a special needs daughter with a therapy dog. House i was interested to view was on the market for a couple of months and the priced dropped so i explained my situation and landlord would consider her PAT dog which is a non malting toy cockapoo. Viewed house throughly, estate agent lady just stood there, hardly any knowledge of said property but after a few days consideration (no follow up calls) I decided to put in an application. I then called the next day to be told the landlord won't be accepting pets....this is discrimination against a working dog that is qualified in her services and its disgusting. Not only are these estate agents unable to do a job with customer service but mess you about wasting everyone's time. Still the house is on the market for 3 months now and has just been reduced by £150 a month this morning. Wake up Belvoir
RENTERS AVOID - dealt with a number of patronising, snobbish staff in Harrogate. Always sensed a deep contempt for tennants. I'm sure they're more charming for property owners, over several years in property we did not feel we were treated with respect nor dignity. We left our property cleaner than when we moved in and they charged us from our deposit to have professional cleaners come in, just to clean dust from inside a light fitting we didn't even know we could get inside. Complained, nothing happened. We are now buying a property and in future will avoid anything do with this company. Thank you for teaching us how NOT to treat clients.
Was shown round a property to let, and noticed damage to the property and fixtures/fittings that I was assured would be resolved. Was required to sign an inventory that didn't mention that damage before getting the keys, only to find the damage still there. Thankfully the landlord understood. The property was landlord managed, though Belvoir took the deposit. They failed to ensure it was protected in an authorised scheme, and put this responsibility on the landlord, who will now pay the costs for this. When I was first shown the property, I was told little about the other tenants when I asked. After several months of anti-social behaviour, police call outs, and attending personally to one heroin overdose, it appears the agents may have been aware of these issues when I first asked.
Kept Messing me about and dragging the process on and on until last minute when they said passed all checks to say they’re unable to give me a flat or any help then had to wait ages for a refund on holding deposit will never use Belvoir again. Using William h brown now and they’re doing it so much easier and being so much more helpful
Absolutely shocked to find agent had let themselves into my property without seeking or being granted permission. Numerous other issues . Do not recommend.
