When my family's firm of Chartered Surveyors for three generations decided to give up their letting department I was forced to find a new agent. So we found Martin Walker Chartered surveyors in Devizes to take over the letting of our properties 10 years ago, and I cannot find a bad word to say about their management. The tenants are all happy too. Sian Kirk has been brilliant. We recently decided to sell one property which Jones Robinson incorporating Martin Walker have dealt with. The sales was by no means straightforward, but with the patience of Mikyle Andrews and Andrew Francis in the team they have overcome an unbelievable string of hurdles on the route to exchange. After receiving a large number of potential buyers in the first week they were invited to tender offers . 10 offers came in and so we accepted the highest cash buyer. However, the neighbour was determined he was going to buy this property and he caused enough trouble to prevent anyone else from doing so. He then continued on a day-to-day basis for five months to send continual e-mails and telephone calls, passing deadlines for exchange and querying this and that as well as trying to have the price reduced and being extremely awkward. We are so happy with the way this has been handled - unending professionalism, politeness and patience. We would use Jones Robinson again and recommend them to other people.

The lettings team found us a good quality rental which allowed our cat when we sold a house quickly and were looking for another to buy. The landlord was lovely and responded quickly any time there was a problem. We also met several of the sales team when the house we were renting was put on the market. This could have been a nightmare situation, but Mikyle in particular was very compassionate and sensible when we struggled with our own purchase, plus house viewings of the house we were in, and also health issues all at the same time. We moved to a different area so didn't buy from Jones Robinson, but I'd recommend them if you're moving to Devizes.
