Five people of staff being more interested more to surf internet on the pc rather than serve the sole customer at the moment,at the end just the older person on the agency have a little attention to my info requests, employes of this agency should work with livestock and not with customers, desgusting and rotten customer experience, arms stolen from the farming industry!!!!!
This is by far the least helpful company I have ever had dealings with. For someone wanting to get things organised in a timely manner, they have made it difficult at every turn while charging an extortionate amount of money for poor service. Would advise landlords and tenents to avoid!
Not a good experience with this letting agency. Anytime there’s a problem no one seems to care to do anything about it and they take forever to get back to you! You have to call them a million times to get anything done. I also get letters every 6 months from them asking for more money from me despite changing my contract! Do not recommend.
Only gave the 1 star because it's not possible to give 0. This company is the worst for money grabbers who don't have any respect for there customers and don't even admit to there mistakes because it's not on paper. I have a few real examples that everyone thinking of going with this company need to hear: 1) My girlfriend was signed up to a contract for a year in a house that she only lived in for 2 months from july 2017 to august but understood it was her mistake so has still been paying her rent every month without a problem until around march 2018 when she received a call saying she is now in debt. The problem was that she went in and asked instead of paying quarterly to pay monthly and was told it would be a figure of 243.75 but they had split her payments for the first quarter into 4 instead of 3 and the correct rent should have been 325 but was never informed about this and is a rificulous thing to do in the first place. She was just told to set up a standing order of 243.75 for 12 months which she did happily but now they are saying she owes all of that difference because of their mistake "because it's not in the contract". So I advise everybody to steer clear of this company but if you have no choice make sure not to take any word of theirs and make sure everything is written down with their signature on it even if it's a simple conversation because they will not keep to their word. 2) I signed up for a flat and legally don't have to sign anything until the day I moved in but wanted to get everything sorted out the way to be organised so I found a flat and paid my £70 fee to take it off the market and signed an agreement. Nearly 3 months before the move in date I realised I couldn't actually live there for disclosed reasons. The only way I was not tied in to the property and had to pay rent was to do their job for them and find a new tenant which then had to pay their £70 fee extra but despite not having to do any work and getting an extra £70 that they wouldn't have had in the first place, I was then made to pay a hidden £250 fee also. If I didn't go out of my way and take time off of work to sort out a new tenant I would have been made to pay the rent of a flat i'm not even living in. 3) I actually know a couple of students who used to work with the company and all have agreed that behind the scenes all the staff slag off their customers and don't care even the smallest amount about them. Another thing is that they even admit to ripping people off. SO... Please realise that any value of money you hear be prepared to potentially double it or even pay random fees you're not told about. Also since then I have been with some really good estate agents. There are so many better options in derby. Just DO NOT go with these money grabbers. I told this story to a few estate agents and all of them were shocked at how badly Nicholas Humphreys treat people but also said they weren't surprised because they hear it all the time about them in particular.
Their prices are just absolute extortion. If you're looking to rent a place then look elsewhere, or better yet, go completely private. They're friendly and helpful when you first walk in, they'll help you find a property and arrange viewings, sound great! But wait until you actually get a place from them to find that there's a massive list of defects including falling roof tiles! We found atleast 3 in our back yard and the sun can be seen from the glass loft door. I know the house is old but jeez atleast fix the issues or tell your customers of them (Oh wait... They wouldn't be able to make a killing on their profits then would they?).
The worst experience with a letting agency ever no communication either written or verbally. Berlinda my so called property mangers has never once rang me writen to me about the property didn't give any updates. Poor all round. Going to be letting out my own property soon and there is no way I will be using them. Dispicable performance from them . I will be contacting trading standards to complain formally as the management are also rubbish and don't call back when they say they will. If you are looking for a property don't go with them you will only regret it later on. If your renting a property out I wouldn't trust them they lie to you and make false promises.
Horrible experience. Don’t go through Nicholas humphreys and do not stay at Norman house. First I paid for a deposit on a flat that I was told a few days after I couldn’t move into after they already reserved the room and took my money, so they gave me a different flat. I Didn’t have proper hot water running for the first 2 months and was given no property manager number to come deal with situation. NH kept delaying the issue. There was a fire which ruined my en-suite bathroom and master bedroom and left the walls all moldy. I couldn’t sleep in there for 2 months. I wasn’t given no compensation. To top it all off their plumber they sent out to fix the water broke my door chain and they charged me for it! Saying there’s no proof for that. Avoid this company and Norman house at all costs.
