Unrealistic valuation meant it took an age to sell (for between 70 &90 thousand less than first valuation). Signed up in good faith to find 20 week term, then constant requests to lower price to get sale. Once sale agreed they arranged mortgage and solicitor for our buyer and both were slow and not great. Felt like Streets Ahead were working for buyer at this point and not us as sellers. Very disappointed.
I have to give it 0 stars ...if I could i will also minus some I must admit we did not had any issues when we took over a property in Croydon and neither while we vacated the property. All the nightmare started when we vacated the property. We vacated the property on December and out of our £1800 deposit we haven't seen back a single penny. I emailed the manager numerous times and my husband went to the office many times when we were totally ignored. The only answer in regards to my deposit I got us today when not even a sorry for never getting back or for delay of almost 6 months. I have no words to describe my anger. On top of that on today's email they are saying that a deduction of £160 has been made for carpet cleaning when the inventory said everything was in good order and that the amount due to us is just over £600. No explanation on how they made that calculation....nothing. I am disgusted. Please, please avoid this estate agent ...they will rip you over.
Poor marketing, never call to give feed back on viewings. Left messages for manager to ring they somehow get lost. I thought they were a strong reputable agent in the local area, I was very wrong. Bad mistake that cost me allot of time and headache
I have rented through them. Their team made a mistake by not paying landlord on time. When I went back with proof of payment in email I had no response. Had to visit their office to know it was a much up their side but no regret or apologies. Ask anyone in Croydon and they will say stay away from these bunch of people.
If I could 0 I would. I came home from work to no heating with the snowy weather, in February. The water pressure was low on the meter so there was no heating or hot water. I called up the water suppliers who stated it was the agency's duty of care to handle. I spoke to the agency and they gave me the number for the plumber. I called for 3 hours, leaving voicemails, no response and no call back. The agency kept messaging the urgency, but to no avail. I was told to wrap up in blankets and wait. I have not received any phone call from the plumber, and I cant feel my feet, I have cold and I am in tears. Absolutely terrible. I had to get an emegerncy plumber £270. Streets Ahead called me the next morning saying they would not reimburse me, the landlord takes care of maintenance and the team the night before gave the wrong information completely. They are refusing to reimburse me, even though they admitted incompetence!!!
By far the worst estate agents I've ever dealt with. The degree of unprofessionalism they display is horrific and I regret ever renting with them. My partner and I have been renting from the 1st of December and have had nothing but trouble from them. It's remarkable how, before I signed the lease, I was pestered with calls and repeated emails urging me to rent a property with Streets Ahead. As soon as we signed and handed over our deposit, we heard nothing more from them. We were constantly passed from person to person when we tried to enquire further with regards to our moving in. When we eventually received the keys to the property we discovered that the house was in an utterly disgusting state. It was evident that NOTHING had been cleaned. The toilet seat was completely broken, ELEVEN lightbulbs needed to be replaced. There were clumps of hair on the floor, congealed food glued to the fridge and unwanted junk (including a pair of dirty socks, thanks) that the previous tenants left. I've attached images for your viewing pleasure - please do admire the vacuum cleaner, which was purchased that day and was used to hoover just the bedroom. We immediately wrote a detailed letter outlining everything that was broken/required repair and requested that the house be cleaned to habitable standards as we were due to move in that weekend. We heard... nothing. The next day we tried to call the office three times. Each time we were told that our property manager - Kelly Alleyne - was on another call, but would return our call as soon as she was free. We heard... nothing. We then went to the office the following day (in the middle of trying to move) to speak to the manager, Kunal Patel. He certainly made all the appropriate noises, claimed Kelly was off sick the day before (?!?!?!?!?) but she would respond to us the next week. No apology was made for the state of the property, no remuneration offered. I did indeed receive a message from Kelly as promised (I have come to learn, this is a miracle) assuring me she would call later. SPOILER ALERT. She did not call. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. We have been emailing and calling for TWO MONTHS trying to sort out the most basic of amenities. It took six weeks to receive an inventory checklist which was promised to us the day we moved in. We eventually received compensation for the mess we found the property in, but all the repair work they promised would take place as not occurred. We currently have no lights in the bathroom or lounge and barely any light in the kitchen because we are waiting for repair work to be taken out by Streets Ahead. However, as Kelly as ignored the last six emails we have sent, I doubt this will happen. AVOID STREETS AHEAD AT ALL COSTS ** Helpful Hint ** If you are a current tenant renting through Streets Ahead, and have trouble with them, contact the landlord directly and make them aware of the situation. They're an appalling company who don't deserve any business.
Cowboys !!!!!!!!! Full off lies and would not recommend at all !!!!
Utterly appalling service ever since they took over the management of our house , no rental agreement sent , no notice given about increase in rent , takes weeks to get anyone to come out if something wrong , do not respond to emails and when you eventually get to speak to a human being they have no idea what is going on and say they will respond in writing or email and they don’t . Wish I could get hold of my landlord and tell him not to waste his money on them managing the property because quite frankly they couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery . Don’t go near them !!
