Our house sale started in the New Year 2015 and after 'interviewing' several estate agents, we decided on Streets Ahead because of the professional and experienced manager, Patrick Donnelly who gave us great advice from the start. Streets Ahead don't have the cheapest commission rates - but we felt that it was fair value for money (except the surprise "plus VAT" at the end, which should have been made extra, extra clear at the start and perhaps repeated along the way.) Our house sale and purchase were not without problems and we were part of a 6-house chain. However, Streets Ahead, especially Sapphire King-Harris were efficient and very persistent in pursuing documents and chasing the relevant parties. The chain held together and we completed in July 2015. We are very happy to recommend Streets Ahead and will definitely approach them again with future business.

The sale of my flat was quite an ordeal and went on for a lot longer than I expected. We worked with Streets Ahead on the purchase of a property and the experience was mixed but overall positive. On the positive side, Saphire was extremely helpful and efficient in the handling of the conveyancing, and often unblocked delays where the solicitor was failing to take control of the process. Our negotiations with the vendor on the sale price (via Streets Ahead) was less positive and I felt we could have been supported more vigorously when the vendor refused to contribute fairly to some substantial house repair costs and when the agreement on white goods was altered significantly at a late stage. Overall, however, I found the service efficient and friendly.

We used Streets Ahead for the sale of our flat and purchase of a new property in October 2015. As we'd already seen somewhere we liked, Streets Ahead were very quick in getting our property on the market for us and we had an open day booked within a week of the property going on sale, with over 20 people coming to view it. We got a sale from the first viewing and achieved above the asking price. The most important part of the service for me was Saphire King-Harris - she's a sales progressor who works on getting things completed for you. She was friendly and exceptionally helpful. We had a complicated time with our sale and purchase but she worked tirelessly to get everything done and was far more helpful than our own solicitor ended up being. Streets Ahead were not the cheapest estate agent we met with, but we went with them and they did deliver everything they said they would. Would recommend them.

Having previously had a sale fall through, Streets Ahead gave me confidence that they could get the job done and despite many complications along the way, they delivered. Saphire handled things very well for a number of weeks and kept things moving along, supporting both me and the buyer. Very few negatives considering the circumstances but there were a couple of cases of communication breakdowns which could perhaps have been handled better and more proactively. But overall they did a very good job.
