They let me without a place to sleep and with a huge financial damage Cameron Alexander from StreetsAhead has been 3/4 weeks promising a house. He gave me a contract, took full deposit and 1st rent. They helped me to move the utilities accounts to my name and everything. I bought furniture to an entire house. At the moment to enter the house, they realised that the landlord was not aware of any of this. They let me on the street, with a house of furniture, without a place to sleep and said "it is not my problem". I am looking for legal advise on this.

I would not recommend Streets Ahead to anyone. We paid a holding deposit for a house in Croydon through Rayaan and he gave the house to someone else and kept lying to us that the owner is out of town and the that the tenants have not found a place yet. This went on for about a month. We kept calling the office but they always say he's not there and he will call us back but he never did. So a couple of days before the move in date we went over to the new house to see if the tenants are still occupying the house only to find the house empty. We then went to Streets Ahead to confront Rayaan and he started lying to us until we told him he should not bother because we have visited the house and found it vacant. Was he trying to scam us?? They eventually paid us back the holding deposit but we were very disappointed to lose the house.

Don’t bother wasting your time. Expressed interest in renting a certain property and have been waiting over a week to hear a response from George or someone in his team. When I try to call they say they are busy and will call back but they lie and don’t. Very unprofessional and worst experience I have had with an estate agent.

I won't recommend them to anyone, because they don't care about you after they sign the contract with you.if there is a problem you better not call them it takes weeks before they give you a call back or answer a email street ahead is about the money not about the customer.

We've had the misfortune of living next to a house rented out by the Addiscombe branch. When we reported problems with the anti social tenants, we got vague and unhelpful replies. The company seemed unable and unwilling to help, and the employee we were dealing with barely replied. It got to the point where the neighbours on both sides of the house escalated the complaints to all the senior managers, but they were as unhelpful as the people they managed, and not one of them replied. I bet someone from the company posts a reply to this review, to make it look like they are proactive! The situation was only resolved when the tenants moved out to another property, whilst us poor unfortunate neighbours had endured 6 months of misery, and sleepless nights. The "agents" sent out to show the house to new renters were unprofessional. We could hear from their conversations that they knew nothing of the area, and were given out incorrect advice on rents and deposits. They were more interested in sitting in the car smoking ciggies, and expertly flicking out the dog ends, than dealing with viewers. Their website says that their motto is "Nothing is too much trouble." Our experience was the opposite, and we would never recommend anyone uses this company to rent out their property.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
