I was interested in a flat in Colchester i sent several emails about the property not one's did they get back to me if I was looking to let. ( Look elsewhere )
Recently visited this estate agent and was met with nothing but arrogance and frustration and refusal to help. With the situation I was in, and having some new guy barking questions at me just left me feeling intimidated and upset. Even if my dream house came in their market, I would rather rent a cardboard box than deal with him again...or anyone else for that matter. If nobody is going to step in and show how things should be conducted, then it only says alot for the whole team
Probably one of the worst agency i’ve had to deal with since starting my search. I had initially enquired on a house which was on the market for sales, I ended up chasing the agency to follow up to arrange a viewing after being told I would be called back to confirm the appointment ; I had to call on 3 separate occasions and it was not until I spoke to the owner of the branch that something was done. Fast forward to today (day of the viewing!), the agent showing us around turns up late and the highlight of this, he had no keys for the property as he “expected the current residents to be home”. Not to mention we traveled from London to visit these properties to not be able to see this. This resulted in us not being able to view as we did not want to wait and felt the entire process from arranging a viewing to the viewing (or not) was very unprofessional. Not to forget, he had called me 30 minutes prior to confirm I would be attending. Very poor preparation and would not work with them again. Personally feel as though there are plenty other estate agents in Colchester which are a lot more professional, organized.
I cannot say enough how grateful I am for Belvoir. Shaun listened to my needs and sorted everything out quickly and answered any questions I had. Having had bad experiences elsewhere I would recommend Shaun to anyone looking to rent. He was friendly and professional and helped me with whatever I needed.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Worst company to deal with. Stay well away if you do go with them then make sure everything is checked with a fine tooth comb as they will try to screw you for something. Even emailing the CEO whom of which used to work for the Property Ombudsman does not even want to reply to you when expressing dissatisfaction. Made numerous complaints for it to be not taken seriously. Fully money orientated company that does not care for their tenants and only cares on the financial aspect. Living in mould for 6 months reported continuously for nothing to be sorted asked for compensation to be laughed at yet we have £1500 in items damaged due to a mouldy property that they don't want to help with. Glad we are coming away from such a corrupt company. Response: We was offered to leave within 2 days with no where to live. Works done with works outstanding! We are still living in mould yet you still will not admit liability to our items damaged or take note of our complaint via email due to COVID as you want it in writing. Hopefully everyone will see what a joke this is and steer clear. And withholding our rent? We explained we are in financial hardship this month because of replacing our 18 momth olds essential belonging we do have every intention to sort the rent with you by our leaving date. If anything the landlord still owe us £1,500 in damaged items and a response to my emails I've sent to you that you've decided to ignore and reply to my feedback instead yesterday would be nice.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value
Terrible. We let our house through this agency and we'll never do so again. There was inadequate inspection of the property to which considerable damage was done. During the tenancy, responses to emails were incredibly slow. Try somewhere else is out recommendation.
Appalling. I rented my house out through Belvoir on a Belvoir contract. The tenant was the owner of the franchise, Julie Davis. I thought I was in safe hands and never for a moment imagined I would have any problems however Julie Davis does not pay her own rent. How can she legally be allowed to own and manage the lettings agency and yet breach her own contract and not to pay her rent? Disgusted.
Would definitely NOT recommend Belvoir to anyone...ever! I was a tenant with them for just over a year and completely agree with all the bad reviews on here. Very very rude staff, always unhelpful and speak down to you. Constant inspections from, again, rude employees. Constant condesending letters and accusations, hidden charges. When we gave our notice to move out we kept having people turn up at the door to view the place, arranged by belvoir but without our consent and without even informing us...not what you want to wake up to when youre hungover and enjoying your lay in first thing on a sunday morning! Poor communication and take agggggggeess to reply to you, if they ever do. Very unprofessional in every way. Accused us of loads of damages and cleaning when we moved out, and provided poor quality, blurry, edited images when we asked for proof...and extortionate charges for the most ridiculous things. i.e. £180 to clean dust off of window sills?! finger prints on the light switches?! Impossible to get your deposit back from! Oh and whenever you do need work done they'll send complete cowboys who have no idea what theyre doing and expect you to let them in your house unsupervised! Frankly the worst agents ever and I will never use again.
Never again would I go with them. Avoid at all costs. A monkey could do their job better.
