Not very helpful, didn't seem to know if the property was for sale or not even though they have a board outside.
We went with miles and Barr as we liked their sales pitch. We felt confident in them and James and Dan seemed knowledgeable and reassured us that they would take care of us. However, as soon as we signed the paperwork, we had nothing but disappointment from then on. We had staff showing our house that had little to no experience at all. (Something that we stated we was concerned about before we signed up and was reassured it would not happen). They made comments to our potential buyers about our house that was not factual at all and very damaging. I lost count how many times myself or my husband had to call to actually receive feedback from each viewing as it was never given. We had 4 sales fall through, some of which I feel was due to lack of communication. We almost lost our forwarding house due to poor communication as well. You even continued to show our buyer other properties in the area after reassuring us that he was 100% committed to our house! We was given Donna as a sales progresser….I have nothing positive to say. Appalling service from her from the start. We was them given Debbie which was better. Debbie was ok and seemed on the ball but not great at communicating. We called, left messages and text with no response quite often. I was lucky enough to receive good service from the estate agent we was buying from though! I would not recommend miles and Barr to anyone, in fact I would advice them go anywhere else. Pure disappointment, unnecessary stress and lack of reassurance and trust! Upsetting we are paying thousands of pounds for such a shocking service that quite frankly I could have done myself.
Never get back to you. All the things you think bad about estate agents is true with Miles and Barr.
Unfriendly staff.
Today was marked on the calendar, it was the day that I could write a letter and terminate our contract due to finish in the next two weeks. We are looking for another more professional estate agent. We registered here at the end of February, it took 3 weeks for our property to be placed on Rightmove. The sign fell down, and took 2 weeks to place a new one up, leaving the orginal under my front window, didnt bother to remove it. A little girl came to take photographs, she said she couldnt stay long as she was booked in to do a wedding. The photographs reflected this, rushed and generally awful, I complained and a week later when it was convenient to the 'photographer' she arrived again and took some more pictures.... No communication during lockdown, expect myself calling for an update. Shocking service, I have realised what is going on here - they seem to spend all their time signing people up and not any time actually marketing your home. People sign up thinking they are getting a good price, Miles and Barr over price your home so you sign with them. Recently James called and asked me to consider a £25,000 drop on the asking price, strange I thought Dan actually gave the suggestion of the asking price. I may have considered some drop if we had had any viewings, but no not one enquiry or one viewing for the whole of our contract. So, you have been warned dont sign with this agent if you want to sell your property, you will be forgotten. ignored and generally not cared about. Thanks to Miles and Barr we are now very behind with our plans, we understand we were with them during the lockdown, but that doesnt excuse no contact from them, no viewings or no enquiries. I dont think they even bothered to market our place, to busy out signing up other people. Thankfully, we have another professional agent lined up - roll on the end of our contract.................... think twice about signing with these 'agents'
Lied about probate. Would not trust.
