As soon as we accepted an offer on the house it was like nobody cared anymore. My emails were ignored, it took 6 weeks before we even received the sale confirmation. Clearly nobody was following up with our buyers to get their solicitor organised. Those 6 weeks meant we missed out on the stamp duty holiday. Every time I rang the branch I was told I’d get a phone call back and never did. Extremely disappointing and frustrating

It was helpful for me to speak with you on the phone to apologise directly and to better understand your experience. I am sorry that you feel that we are to blame because of missing the stamp duty deadline. I can see that original sale was agreed on the 7th April, my sales progressor Donna, originally contacted you highlighting the industry average at the time of writing was circa 20 weeks to completion. This is because the time that a sale takes is heavily influenced by the length of chains, searches, mortgage lenders, solicitors. Given this it would have been very unlikely to have reached the first stamp duty deadline of 30th June 2021, but I am pleased that you managed to get moved by the latter stamp duty deadline and completed on the 3rd September which was 21 weeks and 2 days since the sale was agreed, which is slightly longer than the average of circa 20 weeks, I am sorry for this. Please do let me know if we can assist you in the future so that we can deliver a better experience next time. My post has been removed by unknown source. It was not complementary, they were uninterested in helping in any way regarding problem tenants. Awful company.

The worst estate agents I have ever come across totally useless. The director is shocking at his job. His staff are Utterly clueless and rude. Would not recommend to anyone.

Sadly I do not like giving poor reviews, but on this occasion it feels right. We viewed a house through Miles and Barr it was the area we wanted we were relocating due to fathers health declining and had explained to the Agent exactly what we needed and how far we needed to travel for the viewing we drove down, with our children as this was home we had set our hearts on. We submitted our application and was told that after they had spoken to the landlords they would call us on Monday with an update. we were then told that the house had already been promised to other tenants earlier on that week and that was before we had viewed it. they left us hanging for another 4 days with false hope and promises we had to constantly chase them no one called us back until in the end the stress alone was making us stressed we had no choice but to stop all communication with them. I feel sorry for the tenants they had promised it to before us, must have caused them even more stress and they still have it on their website without let agreed. very saddened and has caused us even more stress at a time when we are already going through enough.

STAY CLEAR!! The professionalism of Julie Green street at miles and Barr's was appalling -I bought a flat through them & reported tenants who are & still have antisocial behaviour issues. Nothing has being done about it, I have had to go to the police .. nothing but a compulsive liar - she was asked to put notes up at the communal door ??? To keep it shut!! No ignored !! Sent emails !!! Again pure Ignorance. One thing I hate is fake people who think they are professional, but instead they fuel the fire by instantly taking sides instead of coming to some kind of resolution.. disgusting attitude STAY CLEAR Would never want to do business with this so called miserable company ever again!! I will continue to liase with the police regarding the antisocial behaviour & contact the Ondbusman, with all the evidence gathered.

Never again could I trust them. Having a deal accepted, then 4 days later reneged, is legally allowed but it leaves a sour taste.
