I’m disappointed with my recent experience communicating with Northwood, particularly with Megan. After receiving helpful clarification that the agency is not responsible for end-of-tenancy procedures, I sent a polite follow-up email to thank her and to explain a misunderstanding based on information previously provided by the agency. Unfortunately, her reply came across as dismissive and unrelated to the actual content of my message. It felt as though my email wasn’t read properly or understood, and I was simply told again to deal with the landlord directly — even though I wasn’t asking her to intervene further. This lack of engagement gave the impression that my communication was unwelcome, which was both unexpected and unprofessional. It left me feeling that the only option was to avoid further contact, which is very disappointing, especially when I had made every effort to be polite and reasonable.

Recently my brother moved into a property. This property had not been looked after well atall but this was covered up during viewing. The agency did not accept any responsibility for their actions and did not support us atall. He had so much stress and was so difficult to chase everthing up. Pavam. Definitely do not recommend Northwood atall.

While we are sorry to hear about your brother's concerns, we believe our relationship is with your brother and there are always two sides to the story. We are aware that your brother moved into one of our Tenant Find properties, and reached out to us instead of the owner when he encountered these issues. We swiftly responded to him and our team were dealing with query when we found out that he did not even give the owner or us the opportunity to resolve his issue and he put the review here. That notwithstanding, our aim is to maintain transparent communication and provide support throughout the process. We moved into a property that turned out to be full of mould and serious water damage, making it unsafe to live in. During both our viewings, Bethany Williams assured us the door was just stuck — but it was clearly concealing significant issues. After raising our concerns, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of empathy from both Bethany and Jacqui, who told us the agency had no responsibility once tenants moved in. This added immense stress during an already difficult time, with no proper support from the agency. We chose Northwood based on their reputation, but unfortunately, our experience has been extremely poor and upsetting. Not recommended.

Upon check out Northwood provided only the check out report to the landlord, but not the check in one, so I was charged by the landlord for maintenance that I wasn't responsible for and they showed complete indifference for the case. Also at the last inspection, even though I asked the girl not to take pictures she did take some. You cannot trust them at all.

As you are aware, you were provided with a check-in inventory report at the start of your tenancy, and the check-out report is prepared to benchmark against the check-in report. You have the opportunity to discuss or dispute the charges if you believe they are unreasonable or if you have been charged for dilapidations that were not caused by you. The Deposit scheme where your deposit is registered also has an adjudication service that can review your case. This is the process to follow if you disagree with the charges. Your motives for choosing to leave a public review rather than following the established process are unclear. That said, we remain committed to treating both landlords and tenants fairly. Most hopeless estate agent I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been trying to work with the Singleton branch since January 2024 to obtain some basic information about the house that I bought from what was then Stevens and Co and was far superior in every aspect. These new owners can’t even be bothered to email back, let alone lift a finger to find out this extraordinarily simple information. Avoid at all costs, unless you like your house unsold or presumably for well under market value, if their work is anything to go by.

Disastrous-"Working with this estate agent has been an absolute nightmare. It's been an entire year of false promises, wasted time, and endless frustration. Despite our clear intentions and efforts, the process has gone absolutely nowhere. I’ve not only wasted my time but also incurred financial losses during this process."
