My buying experience with Davis Tate and Lee Russell has been exceptional. From my initial contact and viewing through to completion Lee was extremely helpful and diligent at every stage of the process. Lee was pro-active in facilitating the communication with me, the sellers, and the solicitors to ensure everyone was kept up to date with progress. My house purchase was pre and post Lockdown, and I was able to move in July soon after lockdown ended which is a testament to Lee doing such a fantastic job with all parties.

I can’t recommend lee in Davis Tate in Woodley highly enough. I’ve had experience of a number of local estate agents in the past few years - all were nice, but Lee Russell had something extra about him. I met him when he did 2 non-sale valuations for me, said he would lend me a book and it was with me the next day – he did what he said he was going to do with nothing to gain and I felt it told me something about him. Didn’t talk to him for another 18 months when we decided to sell our parent’s house. There was no “shoe-in” we evaluated Lee on the same basis as we did the other 4 agents and he got our business because I felt I could work with him during what was going to be a difficult time; • He is quite calm and measured, • He didn’t over-value the house initially to gain our business and was honest about what he thought it would achieve and actually achieved more in the end rather than dropping the price to sell, • His estimates on completion dates were correct, • He has an excellent network within the industry, • And experience enough to advise on a focussed and considered sales approach from his kit bag, rather than trying something to see if it worked Interestingly all the other agents tried to introduce the idea of Lee being independent & working alone as a weakness, suggesting we may not get an adequate level of attention. Conversely, Lee made us feel like we were his only customers, we always dealt directly with him and he seemed to be available to respond to queries at any time from early morning to late evening, 7 days a week and was pro-active in his communications and “check-in” calls. We’ve just been through a 6-month process together and I feel that I have got the measure of him and my instinct in the beginning was correct – he has been doing this a long time, he has learnt his craft, understands people buyers and sellers and has a good network. He steered us through some very difficult and emotional decisions with kindness, good humour and professionalism. There were some particularly difficult decisions and conversations during the sale process and Lee managed those for us, he earnt every penny of his fee and I am really glad we chose him because he stood alongside us all the way and I honestly don’t think we could have received better attention from anyone else.

Lee was an absolute pleasure to deal with from initial enquiry all the way through to completion. Our initial meeting was productive and Lee was very understanding of our requirements and gave us honest guidance based on his local knowledge and experience. He made my wife and I feel very relaxed and at ease in our dealings with him. He was always willing to give us advice but actioned whatever our decision was at the end. He managed all viewings in a covid secure way and once we’d accepted an offer, managed the process through to completion by liaising up the chain to make sure everything was progressing. We’d highly recommend Lee to anyone and would definitely use again. His responsiveness is fantastic and he replies to messages or emails late into the evenings or over weekends. Lee Russell is the best estate agent to deal with in Woodley! I have had the unfortunate pleasure of having to also deal with the worst also...(Parkers, do not touch them, please!) Lee is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, understanding and above all a true gentleman. Would highly recommend Lee Russell to anyone. Lee is an amazing person we had such a great experience in selling our house he really went out of is way to make us feel comfortable from start to finish even with the covid. We would highly recommend Lee, realistic and honest from the start meant our house sold fairly quickly around the mark it was up for. Lee went out of his way trying to help find forms/solve queries etc that we needed, which meant it all went more smoothly than it could have done. We don’t plan to move again for a long time, but if we did I wouldn’t hesitate to use Lee again.

We had the good fortune of Lee being involved in our housing chain recently. Our chain had one collapse and we had many complications throughout the process. We can honestly say we don't think we'd be sitting in our new house today if Lee hadn't tirelessly worked behind the scenes to make it happen. If you want an agent who actually cares, you'd have to go a long way to find someone better.

Lee Russell has provided an excellent service from beginning to end. The extra options he provides as standard helped us sell our house for the asking price by generating viewers as soon as it went on the market. We sold in one day. I definitely condone the other 5* reviews for Davis Tate Woodley (Dir: Lee Russell). Lee took on the sale of our home for us. We got 3 valuations & quotes from Agents and from the outset he was the best informed and most professional of the agents we met. I liked the fact that he personally handled the whole sale process from start to completion and the point of contact was always Lee, not someone in a larger team who "isn't in the office at the moment". Lee was always on hand and always sorted out any queries asap. I had previously used 2 other Reading based agents to sell my mum's house a couple of years ago, and the attention to detail that Lee applied to the task of selling our home easily outstripped our pervious experience with Estate Agents. Yes there are fees, and when the final bill comes in the fees can look significant, but the sale of our house could have ended up in confusion if Lee hadn't been on top of the whole chain. Having a professional agent chasing solicitors, smoothing out details, talking to our buyers, and their buyers, made a big difference that justified the fee. So Purple Bricks and other budget services will save you money, but if you want your sale to go ahead on time, which we did, and like the idea of dealing with one experienced agent who can troubleshoot any issues for you then I'd suggest contact Lee for an estimate and quote. Sorry if this review sounds a bit 'fake', I can assure that it isn't, we are just very pleased with how smoothly the whole process went from May 2019 (first listing) to August 2019 (completion) and I think Lee was essential to that.
