Very thorough, supportive and helpful - would recommend

Lee at Davis Tate was recommended to me by 2 separate friends who had recently moved. He was very supportive and on the ball chasing both up and down the chain, checking the viability of our buyer and ensuring communication was always kept open. He was also very good at explaining what needed to be done at various stages in the process and at all times chased and kept us informed. Without him the process would have been much slower He was far more professional and knowledgeable than our sellers agent and prevented a few potential derailings that could have been caused by the other agents ineptitude. For a smooth and informed sale, I would recommend using Lee - he was at all times helpful and professional and helped to make a stressful time (moving in general) more manageable.

Why use anyone else?

Lee Russell has been our estate agent for almost a year. He actually found three buyers for our house as part of a saga that has more twists and turns and "will they / won't theys" than the Greek debt crisis! In addition we tried to buy three different houses during the process of selling our house as our purchases kept falling through. Throughout this process Lee was absolutely fantastic. He is friendly, respectful and professional and extremely responsive – replying to e-mails promptly, even those sent late into the evening. When our original purchase was falling through Lee got to work trying to rescue the deal, even communicating with our seller and other people in the chain when the selling agents proved disinterested in helping. Lee is like a dog with a bone when there is a problem and goes to great lengths to look for a solution. He managed to resurrect the deal several times at one particular point with some very impressive negotiating up and down the chain. At all times Lee kept us updated as to progress. Lee was very respectful of the fact that it was our home that we were selling and all that that meant for us as a family. Because Lee works on his own you can be assured that he deals with matter personally which we greatly valued. We have come across a few different estate agents in our time but if all estate agents were like Lee the process of buying and selling houses would be much easier. With Lee there is a refreshing lack of snake oil salesmanship. If you are looking to sell a property in Woodley we do not understand why you would even think about using someone else! We wish Lee and his business well in the future.

Simply the best

This is the second time Lee Russel has sorted the mess other agents left behind, unfortunately I had forgotten the first time and went elsewhere. I started by using another large local company who offered the world, I was passed to pretty useless back office staff after the salesman had me hooked, it was left to Lee to try and fix things.. Eventually, I let Davis Tate sort my sale out. EVERY time I called Lee, he either answered immediately or called back (yes, you may think a basic thing but other agents don't do it). Many times I would email late at night after work, I received emails past 11pm. I'm not saying Lee can sort every problem out, but he made every effort to do whatever he could and kept us informed at all stages of the sale. What Lee also did was chase the WHOLE chain and make sure things kept moving, not just my sale and purchase the WHOLE chain. The estate agent I used to buy my new house in Devon said she wished she could work with Lee as "He is the best agent I have dealt with" (quote). I'm not saying Lee Russel is Superman, but I never saw Lee Russel and Superman in the same room at the same time.

I couldn't recommend Lee at Davis Tate enough. We were in a rush to get our property on the market as we had found one that we loved and needed to sell ours immediately to stand a chance of getting it. With absolutely no notice, Lee was able to come round and take photographs of our property that same day, and stayed in the office putting together the particulars, putting the property online and emailing his list of prospective buyers, until after 10pm on a Friday night. As a result we had three viewings arranged for the following day, and another three for the Monday! Thanks to Lee we managed to sell our property for over the asking price on just the second day of viewings, and managed to buy the house we wanted as a result. I would not hesitate to use Davis Tate again, or recommend Lee's services.

What an amazing service!

We have recently sold our house through Lee Russell, Davis Tate. The service Lee provided went beyond what we expected and he ensured that we were looked after every step of the way. Lee quickly got our house sold and the process was very smooth. Lee did a lot of running around for us, often picking up forms and dropping them to our solicitor to save us trips. The solicitor he recommended was also excellent. I would highly recommend Lee to anyone moving house. He is a very honest and upfront person - exactly what you want when selling or buying a house.
