Maddison’s have given me an outstanding service and more importantly one of their superb sales team managed to find a buyer for a flat l was selling that wasn’t anything special at all and furthermore was up against immense competition. We invited four estate agents to value our house and advise how they would bring it to market. Maddisons Residential were the only ones to tell us what we needed to hear, not what we wanted to hear. With one tour of the house, they managed to identify all the little fixes and low-cost, easy, quick wins that we could make to maximise kerb appeal to attract buyers and optimise the price that the property could fetch. They were also the only estate agent to provide us with two go-to-market prices: one if we did nothing to the house and one if we did the quick wins to optimise kerb appeal. This enabled us to understand the likely Return On Investment (and it was a no brainer!). Maddisons' marketing was first rate. Deborah's warm, personal video gave prospective buyers a real feel for the house - great for attracting buyers and great for eliminating those for whom the house was never going to be right (saving everyone's time!). The photography was highly professional - and they returned at a later date when some of the trees had lost their leaves to get photos with a more open feel to the garden. Communication throughout the sales process was exemplary, with speedy feedback about viewings from the professional, knowledgeable, friendly viewing team. When we did get an offer, Maddisons steered us through the negotiations to get the best possible price from a serious buyer. We then had weekly updates as to what had been done on both sides, and what needed to be done next to keep the process moving forwards. When the bottom of the chain wobbled, founder Deborah Richards herself stepped in to manage the situation proactively to get everything back on track and deliver a speedy completion. No company can ever be all things to all men. But if you are serious about selling your house – and don't want it to sit on the market for months and months – and are looking for an estate agent who will work in honest, collaborative partnership with you, underpinned by exceptional customer service, then Maddisons Residential outperform the competition on every metric. They don't aim to be the cheapest on fees - but high quality never comes with a race to the bottom, and this marginal difference is offset many times over by the emotional and financial benefits of selling your house quickly for near the asking price.
