I was renting a property through Parkers, and my experience wasn't as great as those who were buying/selling through this agency. The communication is really poor from the property management side. I was not able to get hold of them for days, and even if they started to pick up issues, it took weeks to get even the most simplest thing sorted. They never provide me an update unless I chase them for WEEKS.

I didn't have a great experience to be honest. I will say initial conversations and pre sale work with Imani and sales team was good we had some nice friendly and fun exchanges, however after that point it felt largely like an average to poor service. I showed the first viewer around myself as they were early, then I was left by the agent to show the second set of viewers around as they were running late and the agent 'had other places to be'. There was a slightly uncomfortable conversation where a viewer offered the asking price and when they had left the agent said 'we can squeeze another 5k out of them, they really want this place'. It also wasn't made clear the implications of selecting the buyer we went with, whilst it was made clear they were not first time buyers, the fact that they were selling a part by part let leasehold flat was not made clear, once it was, it was assumed I would understand the impact of this. When wanting to view Parkers properties the team was really keen, however as soon as I had offered on a property being sold via another estate agent it became quite cold. I went 3 weeks at times without any information or contact, not even a 'don't worry everything is proceeding', communication was largely cut down to WhatsApp messages instigated by me, at several points I went to the branch to express my concerns, this did not deliver significant improvements to the service. In the end I had to revert to relying on updates (weekly or twice weekly) from the agent I was purchasing through. It's a real shame as when I purchased my first property this was Whiteknights and it was great. After all this, shortly after I exchanged I was chased to leave a positive review. Would have been 1 star if Imani and the quality of sales materials hadn't been so good. Although I wanted to, sadly I can't in good faith recommend Parkers.
We recently sold my mum’s house through Parker’s Tilehurst. Initially the communication was great amongst the team, regular updates through a joint what’s app group with various members of the team. Mums house sale wasn’t the most straight forward as we had one buyer pull out. We soon received another and the house sold. However, communication as soon as the house was sold was poor! It soon became clear as soon as they had their sale they had zero interest in my mums best interests. We had to chase them for updates constantly, they were rude when phoning in and it all came to a head so I spoke with Charlie who assured me that he would take control of everything. Well……. he was no where to be seen from this day forward! They made promises they couldn't keep just to keep you happy. I wouldn’t recommend this company. If you want a stress free sale or purchase avoid. To be honest I think giving them two stars is pretty generous.
Awful experience, communication was virtually non existent.
Awful service. My retired mother was looking to rent a property. She found one that had been on the market since January, well priced and below the LHA (Local Housing Allowance). Spoke to Ben and asked for a viewing. They just kept on about her Annual Income which is not a true reflection of affordability given that she claims Housing Benefit on top of her pension. We even offered a very credit worthy Guarantor. Ben said he would "ask the landlord" and get back to us. But it seemed clear they were just fobbing us off. No wonder the property has been up for rent since January. My mother had been in contact with this agency on at least 3 occasions and never heard anything back. So unless your a millionaire I wouldn't bother!
I rented a property through this agency out of urgency, as I really needed a place at the time. Unfortunately, the flat I ended up with was in poor condition, the shower head was literally held together with tape, and part of the kitchen flooring had come off. I had to buy glue and fix it myself. I also had to take on the task of reconciling the utility bills, which should have been handled by the agency. They promised to resolve all the issues, but nothing was ever fixed. At one point, I was even pressured with the comment, “Do you want to leave?” an unhelpful and dismissive response to legitimate concerns. When the toilet extractor fan broke, I replaced it myself, and they never reimbursed me. Due to work commitments, I didn’t have the time or energy to constantly follow up or find a new place, so I endured the situation. To make matters worse, at the end of my tenancy, they had the audacity to try to claim my entire deposit. It’s genuinely outrageous and unjust. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this agency. As for all the glowing reviews, they're hard to believe. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were paid or fake.
Worst letting agency, they'll charge you money for crazy stuff even if the property is in better shape than when it was rented out, do not recommend, Worst experience ever
Very disorganised! After looking for long time, had found a home that we were genuinely interested in. Sent an offer in which was accepted and got a survey done on the property. It was a waste of money to carry out the survey. The property was sold before the survey report came back and Parkers did not inform us. They didn't give any proper explanation as to what happened.
