In reply to the owner response, I am not a customer as such although I did register details for property search, each property I've enquired about does not accept pets and told non of your properties accept pets after about the 4th enquiry, hence my rating from a personal point of view. Thanks
Very difficult to deal with, super unhelpful if you ever get in trouble like being locked out.
Due to them having so many student properties in the local area it’s virtually impossible to get a decent house without using them. But let’s get into the issues because for 3 years I had to use their trash services. 1: Their maintenance team clearly didn’t care as I had multiple issues over the years including my latest one which was a leak that came through my fire alarm and nothing was done about it all the up until I left. 2: They expect £350 for a security deposit, which for students is absolutely ridiculous in the first place, but the main reason I have an issue is because at the end of every year they want my room ‘professionally clean’. Problem is no matter how clean the room is they will do everything they can to charge you. Now please explain to me why whenever I’ve moved into one their properties at the start of the year it’s never been, as they like to put it, ‘professionally clean’? I would like to know exactly what they think that term means because clearly there’s some misunderstanding somewhere. 3: Customer service is awful. I have had multiple conversations with different members of staff and besides maybe 1 of them I cannot say it was pleasant. There was little to no understanding and to be honest many times it was outright just rude. I believe when it comes to students they have a complete lack of care and almost a snobbiness where it feels as if they’re looking down their nose at you. I would also like to add, when presented with these criticisms they did not choose to listen and improve their customer service skills or even politely acknowledge what I was saying. I was just met with argumentative behaviour and nothing got resolved. Really annoyed more than anything that my entire living experience during uni became such stress and I’ve even had to waste my time writing this. Don’t use belvoir if you can help it.
I have to agree with one of the previous rating I have seen from a fellow student - but if you are a university I would beg you to STAY WELL CLEAR OF LIVING IN A BELVOIR HOUSE FOR UNIVERSITY! Have had one of the worst experience of living in a house and had cause so much stress to all tht lived here. 1. The conditions first of all are very old so prone to being dingy/damp and dark. They will then blame you for any damage that happen throughout the year when it is INEVITABLE with the living conditions WHICH YOU THEN HAVE TO PAY FOR YOURSELF 2. We have cockroaches everywhere 3. Our washing machine had damaged due to being extremely old they blamed it on us gaslighting us to pay for it. We then with our own money brought in a professional who said it was in no way due to external force and was a fault in the washing machine. So then they gave up and paid for it!! 4. They took a MAJORITY OF THE DEPOSIT!! We spend weeks cleaning took time of uni to even clean but nothing was good enough for them it was actually ridiculous they seemed to really enjoy exploiting uni students as if we didn’t understand! 5. We had to mean our whole garden but they have us a broken lawn mower!! We had to then ask the neighbours. We spent days doing this yet still GOT CHARGED 6. The team and some members who had come to visit were extremely nasty and had a very poor manner to speaking to us - publicly humiliated us in front of future buyers. They even sent very spiteful emails attacking us personally even mentioning that we were not good enough to do the careers we were studying. IF ANYTHING IF YOU READ THIS STAY AWAY AS IT HAS BEEN HORRIBLE! We lived in Belvoir last year, this year moving to another accommodation and the difference is incredible and I feel silly for putting up with such horrible landlords and company.
15 weeks and counting for a simple sale, not good enough in my eyes. Lots of blaming solicitors etc. I obviously know nothing so very easy to fabricate and blame others. I'm left paying the bills and mortgage. No comeuppance for estate agents or solicitors. Something has to change legally to protect home owners!
My daughter rents a property from Belvoir, she has been unable to use her front door for at least 6 months, Belvoir have been informed of this on several occasions, the last handyman they sent out to fix the problem hadn't got a clue, this is a fire hazard & needs sorting immediately.
