Very high standard set, keep up to date with any changes to tenancy, very informative.
After around 4 and a half months since offers were accepted I finally moved into my new property just before Christmas, which would not have happened if it was not for Charlotte at Ferndown! At first, everything was very slow and there were a lot of issues that were getting very hard to deal with, with numerous problems that never seemed to get resolved... but Charlotte joined onto our case around half way through and this was when things started to get pushed through much faster! Charlotte ALWAYS kept us up to date, was always on our side and continually pushed through our sale, which other parties definitely did not do. Charlotte was always on hand to help, and without her pushing as much as she did, I do not think we would have been in our new house before Christmas! I would recommend Charlotte to anyone moving house, she is very understanding and supportive, and is always great to have a chat with! Will definitely miss chatting to Charlotte on a daily basis! 100% recommend!PositiveResponsiveness
We have used Ferndown for our rental property and recently to sell our property. Ian and Thelma have been a great help and they were the only constant during this time. I’d like to say we had a great experience from the whole team but sadly not. Thank you Ian for your help securing the sale.
I would avoid as both a buyer and seller. We started our search for a property with Ferndown and had an offer accepted on a property, which was £7500 more than the property was put on the market for. They market properties low and expect people to put in their top/highest bid. The offer was accepted and we were given a week to have our solicitor and everything in place. To secure this we paid an initial fee with the solicitor for the property to be then withdrawn from the market. We continued our search with Ferndown and both Mlak and Charlotte were extremely helpful and assisted us in finding a property. Again we were asked to put our best and final bid in which we did and the offer was accepted by the seller. When our mortgage company came to value the house it was then devalued a substantial amount so we paid for a separate valuation which also devalued the property. The property clearly was not worth the offer we put in as two different companies visited the property and valued it between 30-15k less than the offer and we were not prepared to be in negative equity so attempted to negotiate the price based on the valuation. This was not met kindly and we were made to feel as though the change in offer was based on our financial situation rather than the expertise of the property surveyors so less than 2 weeks before completion and heavily pregnant the seller pulled out of the sale on the advice of Ferndown estates leaving us with nowhere to live and back at square one. Thankfully we found a property with another local agent and the service we received from them and our mortgage advisor was great. A few months later Ferndown reached out to us to see if we would send them the information from the valuation reports which we politely declined to provide them with.
They are not Trustworthy for buyers. Try them. Seen multiple properties with them, on feedback, strong offer has been given verbally & written. After that they have no communication with me, but I chased them for week , The Answer I get , specific Agent will call me , but BIG NO. After Two weeks of offer has been submitted, Buyer is chasing the agent, that specific agent won't call the buyer. Buyer called the specific Agent, reply I received after weeks it's has been sold on cash. Nearly 5 out of 4 properties sold on cash? That's not look real? 5th property I seen on end of January 2025. Next day STRONG offer has been submitted. As usual it take buyer one week to chase the SPECIFIC AGENT to update the buyer. Agent reply came it's has been sold. But there is something fishy again that property has been sold on right move end of March 2025. I tried them on multiple properties, result remains same. On all STRONG offers they won't send me any email of confirmation. They waste to much time of buyers. They won't like few people's. They choose there favorite. They won't get in touch with buyers, after offer has been submitted. Please Try them if you need to waste your precious Time. And please don't chase me for that comment, I only write what happened with me as a buyer, after letting them know in December 2024. I know my offers are strong enough and few properties sold less then my offers.
I bought a house through ferndown Estate agents , I dealt with Sam Dunne, the history of the house was a murder had happened here , the case was high profile and was covered by all the media, ie, television ,radio, the newspapers , the house is less than 1 mile from Ferndown estate agents offices, ferndown Estate agents and Sam Dunne knew about it , and never ever mentioned it to me ,I believe the reason is ,I would have been in a better negotiation place , or I wouldn't have purchased it, i wouldn't recommend anyone use these people for anything , they are dishonest and deceitful. Thank you Ian , owner of ferndown Estate agents , for your reply to my review ,if you are suggesting I'm lying , when you say unfounded allegations ? I suggest you and your staff , including John who showed me round the house and who also never said a word about the murder ? we should all take polygraph tests , otherwise known as lie detectors , they are 98 % infallible, and when the tests show who is a liar ? the liar pays for the tests , I don't mind a wager on the side either , just let me know when you want to take the lie detector tests ? Im available anytime , my conveyancing solicitors was never told about the murder either ?, but a solicitor and a Barrister told me , the seller nor the estate agent has to tell you about the murder , and if you don't ask the question ? (has a murder happened at a house or any property ) they are not duty bound to tell you , as ridiculous as it sounds , thats the law, but I think you knew that .
We have rented here for 4 years now, the owner of the company came round a while ago and he is very rude and degrading he spoke to me as if I was a child telling me we would have words then storming out of my house because my walls was painted and he wanted to take pictures to sell it he also instantly moaned we had cats because he doesn’t like cats, any problems we have reported have been ignored to the point we had to get the council out to sort it, we have had mould and damp in the house that has made both me and my partner poorly for around 6 or so months now and all they have to say is the landlord now wants to sell not well sort the mould no just the landlord wants to sell so we and now still living in mouldy house which is still making us poorly would not recommend this estate agents at all anyone I have spoke to about them says they are bad even the guy from the council said he gets lots of reports about the houses they rent as they never fix anything
