Truly shocking experience. Had to live with aggressive damp and mould throughout tenancy and upon leaving found Katie Tamblyn to be patronising and condescending via email when trying to obtain deposit back. I was charged ludicrously in fees and received barely any deposit back for an apartment that was left in better condition than when I moved in. £180 is their standard cleaning fee a small flat so beware.
Could not been any more unhappy with the service received from Alexander Lovell. Firstly, we were not told that sending all the required documentation to Jordan Fiswick was not the end of referencing proceess. Submitted the documents during the weekend, was supposed to move the Friday after. Thought I'd give Alex a call on Tuesday evening regarding the documentation and found out we were meant to receive follow up emails from Homelet which we hadn't. Alex did not bother to contact me on Monday and ask whether we have received the emial from Homelet considering we had 3 days left before moving date at this point. I let it slide, thinking to myself we are all human and man just forgot, so we completed the checks, got an email saying it's all sorted on Thursday. I gave Alex a call on Thursday to ask what time we can collect the keys on Thursday (moving date was Friday), to be told "he has not received report from HOmelet", so I gave a call to Homelet and they told me that the report has been sent at 2:30 pm on Thursday (my call to Alex was at 4:30 pm) I asked him to call them and let them know to which he responded he "won't call them, they will just wait", I expressed my concerns that I need the keys as I booked a driver for my furniture for 8 am on Friday, to which I received no apologetic attitude that one would expect from customer service, but rather mocking and laughing how "he won't even be at the office at 8 am". Yeah, that's why I was expecting to collect the keys before 31st and not on the day of moving. I don't have 10 hours of freetime a day to be chasing letting agents when it is their full time job to make sure tenancies come through on time.
Worst experience ever! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! Hidden fees (paid £550 in total), bad management, rude staff. That's just to begin with. Jordan Fischwick is intentionally offering home insurance on a "lower deposit" amount. They sell it as a benefit but actually it's illegal to offer tie-in deals. I agreed at the time to purchase the insurance but there is nothing on the tenancy agreement that tells me I need to have an insurance. RIP OFF!
I’ve heard really bad accounts of Jordan Fishwick treating their tenants, particularly vulnerable students, really poorly during the pandemic. They seem to have no problem collecting rent but have been unable to reply to tenants for months and have not ensured the property is in safe and good condition. This includes not completing a safety critical gas check on time. Poor behavior, avoid Jordan Fishwicks.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
