I would really rate the Lee branch of John Payne estate agents and their staff. Buying and selling a house can be pretty stressful and they are all so helpful and proactive that it really helped us through the process. Fantastic customer service, lovely people and a very straightforward approach - we will definitely go back for any future sales.

On the first day the property was on the market we had five viewings and by the end of that day we had received an offer for the full asking price which we accepted which, frankly, was more than we expected to sell it for. We recently sold our home through John Payne - Chris and Will were extremely supportive and responsive/punctual in finding potential buyers and showing our house for us. Once we had found a buyer - perhaps John Payne could improve their service to the sellers during the process of the sale since we did not receive much communication from them until it all became very pressured. However, we did fall victim to the 'rush' to complete before the change in stamp duty at end March 2025 which probably meant everyone in the housing selling world was under pressure. Overall, a good experience and we would use them again.
